These are still available from Honda. Your local dealer should be able to order them. If you prefer to shop online - Service Honda or David Silver Spares are two good resources. Remember to specify your model year as the '84/'85 carburetors have a larger bore than the '86.

    i ordered 4 from www.cheapcycleparts.com for 7.60 each.

    part 16211-mj8-000

they show the part on backorder, and from what i understand, most places online get these parts from the same places, so you might be waiting a few days.

i was fortunate to get them within a week.

they all get them from the same Honda warehouse. Save yourself the shipping and handling charges and buy from your local dealer. Support your local guy so he's there to support you when you need him.

    with all do respect,

i called my local honda dealer and inquired about these boots. not in stock. 11.10 each plus 9.1% tax.

the math there is pretty self explanatory, not to mention, the cost of gas sense then place is 35 miles one way for me.

i paid a total of 40.55 for the four that i ordered and that included shipping and no tax.

and seriously, do you honestly think these people are going to support the customer anymore than they have too?

When I ordered my boots from Honda they weren't in stock either. They ordered them for me.....took 12 hours to get them in.

They have for me. I've been thru this many times before. I recommend supporting your local guy whenever possible. I shop online prices and if my local guy is competitive then I give him my business. I might pay $5bucks more on a $100 order. Sometimes he's cheaper. But I've also needed help with a special tool and they've taken care of me because I give them my business.

If you have a good local dealer, then you should support them. It keeps your dollars circulating in your own community rather than supporting someone else's schools and parks (i.e. sales and/or income taxes and wages).

Some dealers suck and deserve to go away. I've said my peace on this topic again and I'm not here to argue how good anyone's dealer is. I'm just suggesting there can be additional benefits even if you spend $3bucks more when you support your local guy. How about bike nights? Many local shops sponsor local bike events along with racers and local tracks.

So before you order your part online, you just might want to consider giving your business to the local shop.
