If I was single with no kids, wife, mortgages or college tuition I'd own bikes like that too!

LOL - welcome aboard and very nice collection.

Lots of guys on this VFR forum are kinda partial to VFR's,:heh: so what do you think of yours?

So far I love my new VFR in fact In fact I have put 861 miles on her in less than 2 weeks. I broke her in easy until the first 600 mile service and now I'm finally getting on it a bit. This bike is no slouch by any means and could definitely hang with the big dogs. For all those people saying it's no black bird replacement in terms of performance they are right because it blows the blackbird away in every category.

How would YOU compare the new VFR against your K1300S in terms of performance and handling?

I had a K1200S which I've sold. I thought that the bike was very nice, however at 7k+ RPM I got a high pitched vibration that would put my hands to sleep and unfortunately that RPM range was where the bike was the most fun to ride.

Now that you are beyond breakin, have you ridden the bike for good distances in the upper rev range and how are the engine harmonics?

I have done 250 miles in 1 day of riding. Vibration is only minimal from 4200-4500RPM before and after that is non existent. Handling and braking wise the Honda literally blows it away as hard as that is to believe. There is a greater sense of road feel although I do find the suspension to be a tad stiff...."mine probably just needs a little adjusting". Power wise compared to the K1300S they are both fast I haven't had a chance to compare the two side by side. I will tell you this My friend who is 90lbs lighter then me 180lbs vs me 270lbs has an 04' RC51 that is piped and modded that mad an honest 120hp to the back wheel raced me. Once I hit 6k on the tach my bike literally ran off from him. He was completely shocked as was I. The K1300S feels about the same yet with a different power delivery feel. AS far as I concerned they both are fast enough. According to the magazine write ups I have seen faster1/4 mile times for the VFR1200F in fact in one write up it was 5 tenths quicker then the K1300 and only about 1 tenth slower the the Busa. I'll try and put up some videos and dyno sheets of my bikes. My Concours 1400 makes over 140HP It's Piped filtered and has a power commander. That bike will lift the front wheel and is also very fast. The Vmax is just plain ludicrous it will run off from any of my bikes that I own from a roll as long as it doesn't spin.

Hey dozer, I have a C14 too. I'm liking the brakes on the VFR much more and that's after I got rid of the crap Kaw rotors and put on Galfers, ugh.

Your right the C14 has been known to have warping issues with their rotors since day one. The VFR has awesome brakes in comparison with little or no pulsing when the Anti-locks are working or at least I haven't noticed. They bite hard and scrub off speed quickly yet are not touchy like brembos often found on ducatis 1 finger pull.
