OK, this has been discussed in the past and was gauging interest now.

For all who are would like to come out on the above date with their VFR's and dice it up, please let me know by posting in the thread. I think this would be a great time and we can BBQ the night before in the pits and have a general good time before we do the track day.

NESBA address is: NESBA : Northeast Sports Bike Association

I am afraid, my bike is too valuable to drop. I will just park it and wax it and my carrot

Also ..... I don't have leathers which I assume are mandatory... are there rentals available? Any kind of "beginner intro" where I'm not riding with all you crazy cats? My bike's never been more than 65mph, since that's the highest speed limit around here... :scooter:

Oh that's awesome ... I guess should look into buying a real full face helmet between now and then; no modulars/flip face allowed, right?

Are there any options for just doing a few sessions? I'm not sure I have a full day in me!

it's either intro (which is free) for 2 sessions, or full day. You will want full day, trust me.

Is it possible to do the intro, then buy full day access on the spot? Or do I have to decide ahead of time?

I have little doubt I'll want a full day, however I haven't done anything like this before, just watched....

You can try Jake, but if the day is full (NESBA only allows so many riders per track) then you will be SOL. Most people when they do the "intro" really want to do the rest of the day. Although I was exhausted and sat out the last two sessions my first track day I was so glad I did not do the "intro" and took everyones advice and signed up for the full day. But do whats comforatble for you, and sign up for intor now if tahts all you want to do. Those spots go FAST!

Pretty sure modular helmets are a no go. But as betarce said, nesba rents suits for 50 bucks. If you have any other questions we can answer to help get you on the track, don't hesitate to ask brother.

September was the original plan, but T-bolt is way more fun to ride. So the October 4 date is now being pimped.

elwray, if you do go, please write up the whole experience (prep, good and bad) I think there are a lot of folks that want to try, but view the learning curve as a mountain - I was the same way 5 years ago and wish I had someone like BZ to show me the way. If you go into it as "fun and safer" street riding with no cops, you will really get a lot out of it.

I absolutely will. Part of my prep for actually riding on the track was to head down to NJMP last month to meet BZ and see what it's all about. I am now definitely ready to get my bike on the track!! Information and reassurance from you, BZ, and others has been tremendously helpful in getting me to realize that a track day can be a fun, safe, educational and an overall positive experience without being intimidating at all.

I'm really looking forward to October! (without trying to rush the beautiful summer, of course ;) )

    BUMP!

And you don't have to be a NESBA member to sign up for a day. It is a little more expensive, but it is an option for just trying the track without buying the yearly membership.

This sounds awesome! I'll see if I can pick up some leathers in time, because I totally see myself getting hooked.
