So I motor into a wedding ceremony out on the coast ... of NH to my brothers wedding ceremony. The only sportbike, ... surrounded by lots of chrome and rumble ... We motored some 60 miles on back roads ... nice enough ride. So we stop for a coffee and a few guys need gas ... and we park on a slight incline. Well one bike rolls on its stand and touches my VFR ... and she rolls forward .... inches from my grab and inches from two other riders grab and down she goes on her left side with a ... thud, and my groans ..

Busted clutch lever (still two fingerable) scraped up lower fairing, a snapped left footpeg perch, (later to find that it snapped the lug on the frame as well. Pretty sucky event.

So ... I would like to uprade levers ... Pazzo look nice but pricey... cant determine if they will fit ??? 1987 VFR750. Suggestions.

Whats the best way to fix the frame tab .... tricky weld at best .... any ideas ??

I replaced the bracket on ebay already !!

My RC needs to be back on the road !!

bummer. same deal with me this weekend. the Shadow was on a slight incline and rolled off the stand. I barely caught it and slowed the fall to the point where I had Zero damage (unless you count my ego).

Too many of us have seen our babies falling in slow motion, just out of reach.

Sally,I've got a minty pair of CRG adjustable levers from my old '97 VFR750 that are just collecting dust on my parts shelf. I checked the Honda parts fiche and from what I can tell they should bolt right on to your '87 VFR750. If you can use them you can have them Sally.
If you're interested PM me with your name, address, and zip code and I'll get them shipped out to you ASAP.

Don't hate me but my VFR is back on the road thanks to .... arghhh JB Weld!

Thanks TC for the TIG weld offer .... but the top tab on the frame was OK so with a little help and some (JB Weld) I am riding .... the real repair will come later !!

We spent most of 2007 in CA ... Ventura area ... was nice but way to crazy for us !! Drove rte 118 to work amongst toooooooooo many fires !!

My daughter is out working in the mountains near you !! She hasn't formed a opinion about CA yet .... the glossy shine is still on the idea of being in CA for her !!

You won't catch me giving you any Sh#t for using JB Weld Sally.
Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do to get by.

Besides, everybody knows JB Weld is just like duct tape anyway.
You know.......the handyman's secret weapon!
