Who will win the World Cup?

There would have to be a few Football mad VFR riders out there. Even the US have a team in. So who is going to win the World Cup?
I know the answer is probably Not Australia!
They got wiped 4-0 by Germany as I mourned into my Guiness at 4am.
Any opinions?

 

I wanted to say Portugal, really would but in the real world the final IMO will be Germany vs. Brazil and Germany will take the title.

You wont get much response from us Americans on a World Cup thread, for one thing, no matter how many youth leagues we have the only thing that interests anyone much is soccer moms when they wear skimpy clothes to watch Junior play. Those of us that are motorcycle racing fans get enough Euro/World influence that we actually understand this football thing is a pretty big deal outside the USA ........

And somebody needs to do something about those vuvuzelas....holy shit is that ever annoying. You could pipe in amplified babies crying at jet plane decibel levels and it still wouldnt be as annoying as those stupid plastic horns.

 

Guess I need to put in a vote for the old sod, although they may need all "hands" on deck to keep the ball out of the net on the soft shots.

Americans do not care.......Moto GP season. Sorry. For that matter Formula 1 . Soccer shmoccer. Make the field a slip and slide and put spikes on the ball....give the ref a gun and a bottle of whiskey.......now that I will tune in for.

The World Cup is the only Soccer I watch. 30 days every 4 years is enjoyable but enough. I hate those bloody horns, though. Reg mentioned more nudity. I caught a glipse of the American Womens Bikini NFL on Foxtel. Now that is Entertainment!

 

NO kidding, not exactly something you want to be famous for.

I like the announcers though, they are brutal. When one of the goalies was pulled for a hamstring pull the announcers said "I dont know how he could have pulled a hamstring taking the ball out of the back of the net" :rofl:

Cheers for that, I work with an American and Brit watching those 2 go off deflected some of the pain of Germany smashing us.. I'm betting on Germany making the Final.

We know you don't like it and you think it's boring. Hey, isn't there a four-hour baseball game on with 10 minutes of action in it you can watch instead of commenting on a soccer thread?

I'd say Argentina - Germany in the finals with Argentina taking the title.
