no question - looks like a lot of time went into creating that bike. Nice work.

    Thanks for the compliments!
I realize if I had built a bike that had less rake and rear suspension it would be more popular.
I used to race motorcycles on dirt tracks (57 wins 1st, 2nd, and third place) and ride on the twisty roads of northern California so I know all of the different kinds of bikes.
The chopper is more about looks and more about well....looks.
For me it is sort of an art project. If I wanted a real fast bike that really performs
I would be building it completely different.

Yours truly on a OSSA TT Special (Dick Mann frame)

I like it. I always wondered about something very similar but more like a bobber hardtail. I was thinking kind of like the old triumph bobbers you see or the XS650 or CB750 ones... Did you build the frame from scratch?

Yes i built the frame from scratch. My avatar photo IS that frame being built.
A "bobber" would be exactly the same except the rake would be about 34º instead of 42º , that would be the only difference.

The build looks cool, should have a nice rumble with that engine and shorty's. Cool Ossa too. We had a flat track (dirt hard pack) we all raced on in the early 70s, (just for fun) about 4 of us had CL350 Honda's... best times ever on two wheels.

    Thanks.
BTW "We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing."

You would really enjoy the mini series about Capt Richard Sharpe( played by Shawn Bean). British. Very top of the line movies that you might rent at your local video store. They are about this guy that works his way up from an army private to officer by killing lots of people but then finds out the people at the top are idiots. A must see.

Looks great! I'm not sure if I'm more impressed with how well it came out looking or how quickly you built it..? Either way, hats off!

It took a whole year of hard work. It seems to slow down near the end.
The frame and fitting of the engine is very hard work and then after it is all finished you
have to take the entire motorcycle apart to paint it.
That is the part I don't like.
I have tried to skip some things because I did not think there would be any problem
but I have learned to put every last thing on the bike BEFORE taking it apart o paint it.

The bike we are talking about.
