a '98 vfr is more than capable of handling twisties. granted, an r6 or a gixxer might be nimbler, it all boils down to your riding skills. knee dragging is nice to see and do but it would be wise to do it in a more controlled environment such as the track or an empty parking lot.

If you are mostly interested in dragging your knees get a different bike . . . .

The VFR is very capable in the twisties but it is not a pure sport bike and you'll definately notice it's heavier weight and slower acceleration compared to other bikes. The good news is that these bikes are well built and the engines known to last a very long time with proper maintanence. I remember the first time I rode a VFR the first thing that popped into my head is that the bike didn't feel like it was cheaply made like other "sport" bikes I have owned in the past. Did I mention that you can ride it all day long without feeling like you need a trip to the chiropractor afterwards??

Now that guy was riding the wheels of that thing!!!!
Personally I think the Dragon is quite possibly the most dangerous stretch of road in the East. People go here to show off, that's it! If you don't screw up yourself you can easily become a victim of someone else's poor judgement. You will never catch me riding there, ever!!!

    Here is why,
YouTube - Bit by the dragon

Take your shit to the track and learn how to do it right where the chances of you hurting someone else or yourself is mitigated by the controlled environment, learning atmosphere and EMS standing by!

Sorry but I have to go practice my wheelies now.

    Jethro out.
