Hi Fellas, I am parting out a VF1000F. I am going to keep the engine and see how bad it is. (rattles) I have a fairly good second bike but am just curious as to what would be beneficial to keep, ie. regulator, coils etc?

    Thanks for your help.

    Pat

Any and all ignition parts. All trans parts, if not using engine. Hell I'd keep it all for spares. No matter how good your other bike is, it is old and things go bad. Worse yet what if you drop it or crash?

Ya, good point. I was thinking about keeping most of the electrical just in case. I will keep the engine, want to take it appart and see what's the issue since the cams are good. Other than that I will probably sell off the rest. Does anyone need anything? I also have a set of lowered clip on's for the VF1000F. Anybody want at a decent price?

What year is the one you're parting out? I need a rear brake reservoir for my '84. Also maybe body work depending on the condition and color.

The bike is worth a lot more if you sell it still put together. Sell the complete bike - not parts.

Yep, the brake reservoir shouldn't be a problem. Will check it out this weekend. I am going to keep the plastics for now.
