Here's the one thing to remember guys; your fitness is the only thing in life that YOU have complete 100% control of.

Your results are a direct result of YOUR effort.

It doesn't matter how much money you have, how well you get along with your boss or your spouse, where you live, or where you come from in life.

If you fail, there's no one to look to but yourself.

When you succeed, there's no one who gets the credit but YOU.

Finished the 1st month of P90X. I hit 229lbs this morning and started out at 237 exactly one month ago. Actually, after starting the program, I saw my weight go up 2 lbs before dropping. Month 2 starts tomorrow. Here are some photos of the progress.

Way to go Bweiss! I wondered if anyone was still paying any attention to this or if everyone who chimed in earlier went back to watching Oprah and eating Bon-Bons.

The wife and I have found ourselves in the crabby phase of P90X. We are sooo frackin tired of P90X taking up all of our time. I did some math and figure I've given up over 30hours of garage time working on the project bike. We finish week 5 tomorrow.

We usually try to workout in the morning because it's too easy to be lazy at night and procrastinate the workout. Yesterday we slept in and skipped it in the morning. 8:30pm came along and I suited up for Kenpo. The wife said hell no but I gave her shit about commitment. She showed up downstairs before I was done warming up and participated but I think she was picturing me when she was throwing kicks and punches.

This morning we got up for legs and arms. It was my turn to whine and bitch like a school girl but she dragged me along kicking and screaming. The legs and yoga are her favorites I think.

I guess P90X is like quitting smoking. It's easy to have resolve in the beginning while you're excited. After a month laziness tries to creap back in and you try to find excuses why it's alright to skip "just this once."

But, we keep hitting play. Haven't missed a workout yet - at least that's my story. I skipped Kenpo once in exchange for playing softball. Most weeks I do both.

Oh...i forgot to mention...the work out directly after the strength training was running with a med ball. Medballs are 20lbs. I thought that was kinda weak...so i did the runs with an 85lb sandbad across my shoulders...wound up being about 3/4 or a mile...2 400 m runs and 2 200 m runs...

Sorry I haven't posted recently. I have moved my rest day a couple times but other than that I have done the required workouts and am just starting week 5. I am trying to diet but have only gained weight so far. I still feel way better and much stronger then when I started.

dunno. I'm thinkin of doing p90x again and doin the lean version this time... I'm still doing some physical activity, but not nearly as much as before... I liked getting up early and knocking it out then being done for the day unless I wanted to do something else...

Decided after a 6 day rest to get over a cold and generally let my knees and muscles rest to evaluate and set a new goal. So.... Low carbing it all last week and this week to see if I can jump start past this weight plateau and get another ten lbs lower. Started back on lean program yesterday but did shoulders and arms. Will begin today with the core synergistics.

Nice work on the weight drop tinker. Keep pushing play

    Pardon my language, but ...

    Holy. Fucking. Shit.

Well, day one is over. Doing "classic". Chest and Back, and Ab Ripper X. I tried as hard as I could, and I feel like I did only 10% of the workout. Some of the stuff was just shy of impossible for me -- especially diamond pushups. I did almost one on the first round, then couldn't even do a crappy one in the second round, lol. And I didn't realize how few pullups and chinups I can do now :(

    I hope I get stronger...
