I don't like big parties and my house is not condusive to any parking or parties or bikes and cars, but If you want to come visit by yourself that is ok.
Just let me know ahead of time. I live in the forest on a one lane narrow road.

It looks great. I love that it has the VF engine in it.

One question. How big is that fuel tank? How far do you plan to ride with a 1000cc engine and a small tank?

Tank is 2.2 gallons. That will get me to the next biggest city. Quickly. Then I am ready for west and weelaxsation.

The engine is the VF1000R with gear driven cams, line bored, and oil holes in the cam lobe faces. Late 85.
Carbs from V65 Sabre 1100. Foam air filter, #40 idle jets.
    Aftermarket tapered 16 inch mufflers.

IT started and idled with them but then I found out needles and other parts were not available.
    Gave up on that.
Considering how much trouble it was just to get float needles for the VF1000R and
no dealers care about stocking parts for older bikes we are screwed.

My nearest HONDA dealer did not even have spark plugs without ordering them so
I went across the street and got them at KRAGEN auto.

Dealers just want to sell you a new bike, and then good luck trying to get a part.
They still see motorcycles as toys. You ride it for a while park it out back and then junk it after a year or two.
That seems to be the attitude.

That is why there are so many websites to support owners now. The dealers are not taking care of customers.
So the owners of the motorcycles have banded together on the internet for their own protection.

    TO prove my point.
Have you heard of a member of a forum recommending such and such a dealer that will really help you get what you need and is well stocked? NO

Nice ride! How does it sound with those pipes - are they 4 into 4 ? We'll obviously be needing more pics and a sound/video clip once the rains stop...

    The pipes are 2 into 1....... X 2 Just like a VW .
The stock pipes are 4 into 1 into 2

Cylinders 2 and 4 one muffler
Cylinders 1 and 3 one muffler

The shorty mufflers sound very good. Would need to rejet to #130-140 mains. It has 125 mains now.
But I am going to try some J&P Cycle's tapered 16 inch mufflers.
I tried the HD Dyna tapered mufflers and they were way too quiet. Gagged the engine.Heavy too.
I also tried some VF750 mufflers but they looked like a cartoon, too quiet .

Good job Donny! I dig it. As far as choppers go it couldn't be cooler. Especially the paint scheme.
