Ok, actually it was tucked away in a far corner of a 3 car garage

not sure yet what I'm going to do with it..

I don't have a title yet ..but I KNOW the title holder (was his sons bike .. the title is in dads name, but I've known the family most of my life)

it's actually pretty clean after I removed all the dirt.. going through the carbs now ..then flush the tank (that was full)
if she runs I'll most likely get the title & fix her up ..

anybody got a line on a set of F2 wheels? I have a 02 F4i shock that I was wondering what I was going to with..

did I mention the bike was FREE!!!!

I'm not one for powerwashing a motorcycle, but I might make an exception looking at that 500!

    Damn, what a mess!

Not a bad find! Especially for free. Just a little TLC and she will be a fun little scoot.

Let me know if you decide to let it go! I have no problem driving down to Lancaster to pick up an Interceptor 500! I did just that less than a year ago!

Yup! I bought mine in similar condition. I would love to be able to just tear it all the way down and clean and repaint everything, but I need to get it together to ride, right now!

When I found my 500, it too was a mess. It only had 600 miles on it, so I saw the potential. It's amazing what a little elbow grease can do. Keep posting pictures as you bring it back to life.

For the dirt, I own a Honda XR650R. I know that NAPA has a thermostat for the bike that works and costs a lot less than the OEM part. You may want to check them out. It's worth a shot.

I have a spare, untested used one. I can look tomorrow and see if I can find a replacement on the cheap from a couple of our suppliers at work.
