Hey watch with the Saab comments, there !

Really, the 9000 Aero was a stealthy 4 wheeled VFR - I used mine for autocross, trackdays, towing bikes/karts, carrying 24 cases of beer (wedding day), and general humiliation of Mustang/Camaro and especially riceburners. Nobody likes being passed by something with car seats in it, I've found.

Seriously, the levels of selfish, me-first toolbaggish idiocy are so high right now, that it's really hard to distinguish one group or make as more idiotic than another apart from a few standouts.

I park in a parking spot.... the only place I've ever seen "motorcycle" spots is at the local powersports dealership...

Generally I'll park towards the "back" of the lot if possible, away from other cars. First preference would be an "end" spot next to a curb... second would be next to a car under a streetlight (less likely for someone to just "not see" the bike and hit it - driving in a mall parking lot in NJ is a free for all, if you haven't been here before. But if I am just running in somewhere quickly, I will set the bike quite far out so it's seen though; don't need anyone thinking "oh look an empty spot! BLAM!"

If I had been in crusty's shoes, I'd have been overly polite and friendly. I find that nothing is more annoying and irritating for people that are trying to be mad at you than having you be super nice to them - and then insult them - politely! It's the best when they're really old....

"Oh ma'am I am so sorry! I didn't realize that this was a handicapped spot!! I'd better finish my coffee here so it doesn't spill when I'm riding. Safety first! Hey, maybe you can help me out; I'm doing a report for school on the Civil War. What was it like growing up in the 1860's?? Do you think I can interview you?"

On a few occasions, during my stay in NYC, seen bikes pushed over b/c the parallel parker knocked it over, whether on purpose or by accident. Bikers usually park perpendicular to the curb.

Good for Crusty and the VFR riders as a group - thank-you Crusty for taking the high road.
How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives. - not my quote, but one that has stuck with me.

Tinker - that was a good one! I live and interact with many in our area that travel by horse and buggy, yes many businesses in our area have allways provided shelter and water for the animals. Gitty up!

    That's awesome!

Somewhere I have photos of my friends and I who overtook the city park with horses tied to every tree while we were "cooling off" in the bar.

I also used to drive my horse to the feedmill and make him drag his own dam feed back to the farm. Not sure if I have any of the pictures in digital form.
