well, i got a little stir crazy the past couple of days in the garage, i have to get a liner put in my tank, so i thought well i should probably do what i can to get the dents out beforehand, which led to pulling out the stud welder, sanding more of the paint than i had anticipated, and finally saying screw it, i'll just repaint the bike. it was pretty ratty to begin with (clear coat pealing, dents, and scratches too deep to buff)so a fresh coat of paint was definitely in order, unfortunately i dont have the funds to get the correct paint and decal set yet, so i just used some ppg stuff i had on the shelf. Let me know what you guys think, while the tank is at the radiator shop im trying to figure out what sort of wing to put on it, im torn between the original style, modern honda wing, and what colors - ive got a bunch of pics in my photo album
heres my photo album vf700f pictures by hoobatech - Photobucket
and since everyone here loves the pics, heres a taste until my tank gets home

ohh, does anyone have any ideas for new turning signals? i was thinking about cbr but if theres a better option im all for it.
For those of you who cut your rear fender, how are you mounting your plates/light? i think im going to have to chop mine
and was the clutch cover originally bare or black? this bike has been down before and i wasnt sure what the p.o. did
and if anyone has a gas cap you should get a hold of me, the only time i see them on epay is when its a whole set, and i dont really wanna spend 100 on just a cap.
i also need a headlight trim bezel if anyone has that

If you paint it and can see your own reflection in it while taking a picture of it I say A+

That garage seems awful small. Is it a 1 car?

The reason I ask, it looks about the same size as my garage but mine is cluttered and not a good workspace...
me thinks I may get some of these computer parts boxes and holiday boxes and crap up into the rafters, I really didnt think I had enuff room for a workshop.... I might be a tad inspired here.

There seems to be a big, primered, step side thing, taking up the other half of the garage.......

Check out the signals from Lockhart Phillips. I used some I really like on my old VFR and they updated the look quite a bit without looking too modern or out of place. Flush mounts on the front fairing and smaller stem type on the rear.

I used ones like this for the front:

And ones like this for the rear:

Holy cannoli !I just checked the price of one of those guns......I can get 2 cars painted at Maaco ! I guess that leaves me out for my own painting, at least with that nice of equipment. I dont have the patience for painting anyways. Im luck to get it out of the spray can most of the time.

lol, yeah they're "high end" guns, i sprayed with a sata3000rp, now theres and expensive gun, and in the end i think my iwatas are a better deal. but if you want to get into painting, many of the mid-low end guns are great and will set you back between 100-300
