Or he is just listing it so his wife will get off his back, but knows it will never sell at that price. Crazy or Crazy like a fox?

And at least he's willing to take a boat with a cabin instead.

may he was a lowlander that moved up to the mile high city, less oxygen is making him loopy

It would be nice to see pictures of his bike and not a "promo picture". 0-60 in three seconds..... I wounder if it does that because of the blown fuse...... maybe all those 0-60 races broke the turn signal off...

Hey Tink, I saw this one on Craigs today aswell. Guy wants a yacht for an '86?! I'm surprised he didn't ask for some strippers and a case of Crystal to be included.

I thought about PMing you to find out if it was yours. Then I remembered that you just sold...and that you seem lucid, for a conservative that is. Did you happen across the '08 CBR 1000 that the guy wanted $10,700 for? Or the '02 R6 for $5800? I'm not sure what's happening in Colorado right now, because all kinds of people are shitting the bed when it comes to pricing their rides.

Thanks for the compliment - I think ?

I might be a free market guy but I have little tolorence for stupidity. Stupid people need to know what the rest of us do and be told they're stupid. Makes me want to create a more anonymous email account for these things - maybe yoursmokinwhat@yahoo.com

Makes me want to create a best of CL thread here where people should post the worst idiots in the motorcycle page of CL. Would be good for a lot of laughs I think.

Looks like a good week coming up. If you're looking to put on a couple miles you might consider running up here and checking out the project.

BTW, came down I70 on Sunday night from GJ, saw 3 state troopers and 3 bikes being loaded on flatbeds - be glad not to be them.

Yep, I think you may be on to something with the fools thing. Aside from the bikes that have been mentioned thus far, I saw an '04 CBR 1000 last night for $8995. Clearly the seller believes that low mileage entitles him to ask for close to the original MSRP. It's really starting to suck, I am in the market for a good ride that I can use primarily on the track. My preference was to buy a new Aprilia RSV4 but the recall has got me thinking I should buy used for now and then pick up the Aprilia next year. Unfortunately, these bed wetters around town aren't making things any easier. I was so frustrated last night that I nearly e-mailed these sellers so that I could ask them if they are f#&ked in the head and that if they ever get serious about selling their bike to get in touch with me.

If the weather is right I would love to check out the project. Are you in Ft. Collins?

Oh yeah, I should ask: is there some type of excessive speeding law that will alow for the LEO to just confiscate a bike like that? I'm surprised I didn't end up in that catagory.

Make an offer to the bonehead that is resonable, what's the worst thing he can say? He'll be brought around to reality eventually when people give him more reasonable offers.

Yeah, these goofy squids think that when they add a bunch of aftermarket equipment it will bring in above-dealer prices on these rockets in this extremely soft economy- IDIOTS.

It's crazy. The '04 I talked about was bone stock with 2700 miles. I can understand why a seller would want to at least try and get his money back on aftermarket add ons, even though that's not going to happen, but $8995 for stock! I thought about doing as you suggested but my thought is that this guy is so far off (nearly double) in his own little world that a reasonable offer, say $4500-$5000, would be laughed at.
