Hi, looking for some info on a 1989 VFR750F, was the colour scheme of the bike i have attached a standard colour for that year or is it a special paint job, as i have not seen another VFR750F in those colours?.

Looks like the previous owner has wanted it to look like an RC30. This is the paint scheme from Hondas first homologated VFR750/RC30 which won numerous races and titles for Honda throughout the world.

yes, this RC 30 ' look a like' is not a factory scheme so is probably a repaint.

Thanks for the info guys, that explains why i have never seen another one in those colours then, i might go and have a look at it as it is for sale at a local classic car dealer, 1989 VFR750F, 1 owner from new and has only done 6,700 miles for £1,799, i am a bit sceptical on the mileage though, but if the condition of the bike was excellent and all the paperwork is present and matches the claimed mileage, then it sounds like it might be a good buy.

Seems strange that someone would repaint a near new bike. Wonder if the mileage has gone around the clock and restarted again?
Look for visible signs of accident damage anywhere and hopefully the bike hasn't had the speedometer/tachometer changed.
Just a couple of things to be wary of.
    Hope this helps.

    Cheers
