Are the Amazonas those knockoff BMW's that are made in Brazil? Ever seen the Chinese version of the Russian knockoff of the flathead BMW's with the sidehack?

LOL. Yep, I too had a few years off from riding. Not because of a DUI or anything, but because I was too damn drunk to get on the bike in the first place. Thanks AA, dreams really can come true.

Thats a tough one! I have had 35 bikes over the years, my buddies the same and even the old bikes we had from the 80's and still have, none have ever given any mech problems. Never. But the worst bike I ever had just because it sucked at everything was that pos Vstuuuuum.......

first off B. I was drawing on the fact that you are an "intelligent" person everybody knows that the VFR1200 isn't due to deliver here in the states for a bit.

    >>Everybody knows that?

I guess I assumed that you would take it as "when you get the bike are you gonna post up some pictures"

    >>Wild assumptions are not a good thing and thinking that you have some handle on what "everyone" is doing or thinking or what they know will cause you trouble eventually.

.My mistake for thinking that you were smarter than you really are I won't do that again..

    >>Can I hold you to your word on that? I can remind you if you wish.

Secondly, what the hel would you know about Military cooking, other than shit you make up, I have never heard that comment "Just like Mom cooks, only Mom doesn't shit in it." and I've eaten in really bad chow halls.. the Military food gives enough of the daily allotted nutrients to sustain a person. enough about that.

    >>Bad assumption dude. "First off" just because you have never heard of something or anything that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. "Secondly" you do another faux pas by assuming I was never in the military. Basically it's the service oriented joke that you are missing. There are some great mess halls. There are lousy mess halls. Moi..Sitting on not one, but two DD214's.

Third, your picture of your VFR is dubious , what would it take for you to post an "updated picture" of you and your machines? you can even take a picture with your helmet on so you can hide your face, thats cool , that is really all I was asking, how come you don't? are you not proud of what you have in your "stable"? or are you just full of bull likefolks think you are?

    >> The current pic is about two years old. The background is a little waterfall about halfway up the road to Mary's Peak near Philomath, Oregon. I told you about this once before when you were attempting to make some idiotic point about tire wear. What would it take me to post another pic? A few keystrokes is about all. Today is out. A storm blew in and the snow level dropped in that part of the state and as I pointed out before it's about a hundred miles from where I live and they probably closed the road. Next... If you can give a good reason for telling you or posting pix of my other bikes other than you just being fucking nosy and looking for some excuse to post stupid shit like you do most of the time, I will be happy to share. Just so you don't start sucking on a jug and dropping your meds by the handfull. There is a pic of my BMW on a site having to do with custom bike seats in Seattle. A trained detective like yourself should be able to find it in a flash if you're not shiftface..

As far as the MP brain thing goes, no we are smarter than the cooks, besides I don't know any third graders that can fire weapons as proficently as the MP corp.

    >> I don't either. A good thing too. So do you know any third grade cooks that are good shots?

just to clarify, for you, in my area thats the little college part of the city that I live in I would not purchase a used motorcycle from anyone between the ages of 21- 30, if I pass up a deal then I guess thats on me . you don't live here so you don't see how they are ridden, are there mellow 21-30 year olds sure but that doesn't mean I'm gonna buy a used bike from them.

    >> I hope you are not trying to put across the idea that bikes are riddin by this age group differently in Santa Barbara than anywhere else. Are you going to Westmont or Brooks? LOL

And with you last statement Leech of of TOECUTTER? someone offers to help me fix my bike and I take them up on it , that is called leeching, you are a dumb fuck.. TOECUTTER has seen my bike exactly twice since I have owned it, and only once did he put a wrench to it. so if having him adjust my valves is leeching to you , you need to reevaluate your pitiful existance here on planet earth. and by the way I did pay him what he asked, and that was a case of beer.

    >> Bud Light, the choice of beer for the opportunistic. Used by many as a little swimming pool for slugs in the garden.

so I ask you again, and I'll phrase it so you can understand it , When you get the new 100, are you going to post pictures of it? Or are we supposed to take you word that you have purchased one?

    >> Since you asked so eloquently, probably not. The bike has not been "purchased" I have earnest money down. The purchase comes later when the bike arrives.

    Bon Appetit!

    Dan,

Refreshed by the pic, The Amazonias are VW powered. By now you have probably found those Chinese knockoff BMW's. Looks like they are now knocking off two models and variants. The one I have seen is an original and is a flathead. The owner is in Seattle. The Urals to my knowledge are all OHV. Both the owner of the Chinese flathead and the original importer of the Urals are members of VME out of Seattle. Between the two they have a shitload of old iron.

Lots of old iron in Seattle. Two large clubs there for support and a restoration company that was, until a few years ago, owned and operated by a guy with very deep pockets and a love for antique bikes. He built something like fifteen Knucklehead HD's for one MS guy. The company is now owned by a South African guy. The last time I was in his shop he had just taken delivery on a CVan full of WWII Army issue HD's.

Thanks. I will show AAA some respect from now on. I didn't know they had a brownie point program going. Do you get discounts for posting shit like that?

I just got a PM from your buddy C02 rider. He is coming to visit me this summer. Oh Drat! He deleted his PM. I guess he thought better of it. Maybe he will come and see you and you guys can do the AAA happy dance.

There are lists on the net of bikes that have fallen by the wayside for one reason or another. In just US terms they number over 200. Were they bad bikes or the worst bike that somebody ever owned? Who knows?

If you guys really want to own a piece of shit, pop for nearley any pre-EVO HD then whip out your checkbook.

Then again, I wish I had a Thor or a Crocker that I could bitch about. Or maybe a BSA Lighntning with a POS lower end or even one of those early VFRs that are not as good as some folks seem to think of as nostalgia rides.

Also if any of you cats who ever have the opportunity to pillion Ms Thunderjugs, do not go canyon carving.

I would definitely agree because I've owned three Ducatis', an S2R, St3, and 1098. They are the only bikes I've ever received recalls on. Other rides include Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaski, and BMW. They were all more reliable and less expensive to maintain than the Ducatis'. There is a certain lure and mystic about them though. The 1098 I presently ride is one awesome machine and accelerates like nothing I've ever ridden. I owned an '06 R1 and even with an slight horsepower edge, the Ducati is quicker but not worth the price of ownership.
