Vfrworld 2010 southeast g2g

Unfortunately, my cash is just too tight to justify spending 500+ dollars on USA rotors. If I had the dough I'd be putting EBC rotors on but oh well, it's worth a shot. I'm not expecting to be knocked my socks off with the Hong Kong rotors but if they last me a year I'll be happy.

They're getting warped, when I get up to speeds higher than 50 mph and I pull the brakes hard they shake.

 

Matt & Joey, are both of you still riding up on Sunday? It's getting close, so let's start organizing our departure time/route if we are all going to cruise up together. BTW I'm stoked that we'll be riding up there on weekdays, doesn't get much better than riding 129 and the Cherehola on a Monday or Tuesday morning.

Yeah count me in, we can ride the fun routes on the way up there! My only concern is that it better not take 8 hours to get up there otherwise we'll need the next day to take a long nap ha ha ha!!

I f you guys are headed here Sunday (DRAGON) be ware there saying ITS CLOSED. Starts at DEALS GAP ends at the Lake so no DRAGON for MONTHS.

 

let us know when you get there today i guess its possible but months they could have it cleared in a weeek

Yep it's closed as of YESTERDAY- barricades are up right at the store. Slide on the otherside of the overlook. Was kind of quiet there. Buddy and I rode 400 miles from Paulding Co. and Cherahala had SNOW! right about 12 hours. What a day!

 

Switchblade TY for the updates about the slide and since you frequent that area can you give us anymore reports on road conditions?

Have you been on 28 anywhere south of Deals Gap? If so how was it?
I'm riding Hwy 28 from Warwoman Rd. all the way to Cherokee N.C. next Saturday.

Is gravel still on the shoulder and in the median?
Joey Dude and I went to Blood Mtn. 2 weeks ago and there was still gravel everywhere.

 

Went there Friday it is closed but looks like they will open Friday 3/26

 

Man, this would be cool. Unfortunately we are trying to move cross country from Michigan to Virginia, and I just started this job in November, so I don't have the vacation to join for end of May... I'll look for next year though!
