+1, I hate to say this but if the weatherman says 50% or greater chance of rain I'll have to cancel, sorry, it's not fun having to slow down and struggle to stay dry. I can tolerate a little sprinkle now and then but full-blown storms and pounding rain sucks.

 

I used to have a shop manual for that bike. Do you have one? If not I'll see If I can find it.

Nice!!!! :guitar: I finally got my "Hong Kong" brake rotors and installed them. Now all I gotta do is wait for 2 nuts so that I can finish installing the rear shock. And today was finally gorgeous and I didn't have my bike. :frusty::frusty:

 

Kept me informed please, I want to know if there any good. I plan on ordering a set.

Will do, I'm planning on starting a new thread with pictures and a complete write-up on them. I can only test them so much when the bike is on a front fork lift and spinning the wheel by hand

i had chinese wavy rotors on an r1 (came with the bike) and they warped after a few aggressive rides. fortunately had the stockers and put them back on. maybe their quality has improved but i'm sorta biased against chinese stuff. if we keep buying chinese stuff, there won't be a reason for the usa to keep making rotors and other parts, further eroding the manufacturing base in this country:rant:. if you can wait and save a bit more, buy usa made stuff. just my 2 cents

 

the threat of inclement:rain: weather will scare at least 10 riders away. i gotta admit, i am NO fan of wet-weather riding but i'll be there rain or shine. someone has to feed the starving masses. besides, the coffee will be good. ksl provides generic institutional type coffee but with a few scoops of jittery joe's dark roast,
the coffee gets a whole lot better! :kaboom:

 

absolutely agree with Sparky on that. Chinese steel in particular is an inferior product.
