The free windscreen that came with mine is a complete joke...and not a funny one either. ; )

Yes2Yeah said he'd take $20 off group buys. No much, but better than nothing. PM if you're going to buy from him.

I specifically ordered this "blank" and received this. I contacted Nice Cycle and the they said they'd make up a new upper and both lowers. I received the replacement pieces and they had this cheeseball logo on them as well. 3rd time was the charm!!

Now I have 2 like the photo and one without any markings. I've decided to put this one on while I decide what to do with the blank canvass.

Well...I put the fender and rear/tail cowl on. The fender was straight forward.

The rear cowl was another story, What a piece of sh*t! The tabs on it that are supposed to mate with the tail light did not line up and had to be snapped off. 2 of the 4 screw locations for the tail light do not exist on the aftermarket cowl. I cracked the piece putting it on as it does not have the flex the OEM stuff does. I brought my camera along to take pics but my batteries were dead.

I'm waiting on some replacement bulbs for my instrument cluster so I didn't tackle the upper/lower plastic at this time.

I notice that some of the ebay fairing kits from China do include a tank cover. For example this RWB set from yes2yeah That would seem great if you want to totally change the look of the bike. I've seen one comment among the VFR posts that said fit of the tank cover was an issue. Has anyone else gone this route? I'll just get shiny red to go with what I've got if I can't get a set that covers everything including the tank!

Has anyone had a set that included a tank cover from one of the ebay merchants. Seems like on some of the sport bikes - the actual tank really is covered by plastic, but the VFR is a metal tank NOT covered with plastic. I'm asking because I'm thinking about a complete color change from Italian Red, but the economy of this dives if I need to spring for a tank paint job on top of the fairing kit purchase!

I have seen a kit for a sixth gen either on here or VFRD and the guy had quite a hard time putting the plastic tank cover on the original. I would just get the kit anyway and toss the tank cover piece in the trash if doesn't fit and spring for a paint job. The fifth gen kit doesn't come with that or a rear cowl, so I had to have both painted.
