hi guys! I need to replace tyres of my bike. I'm looking for advise. Can't deside what tyres will be best for byke. Dunlop RoadSmart or Metzeler roadtech Z6? I need long life of tyres and great traction on wet and cold road.

I would say either would fit the bill for your needs.

I used to have the Z6's and I can say great sport touring tire. However, everyone who has used the Roadsmarts has said nothing but good about those tires too.

I replaced them around 5,000 miles becasue I got into track days. I did my first track day on the Z6's.

They still had life left, but I decided to go with a more track day oriented tire.

Have to say, I was no speed deamon my first day (still am not) but I was impressed with what those tires held up to.

    ^^^^^^

Thanks for the laugh brother! Let me guess, they were soaked in Slick50 and thats the way to make a MC tire last over 20,000 miles:heh:

I was always a Bridgestone fan, but on reccommendation from my tyre fitter (who has been the only guy I've let near my wheels for over 20 years), I've gone for a set of Pirelli Angel ST hoops this time round. I cannot say how long they will last, but with normal riding, I haven't got more than 5k out of any rear tyre om any of my VFR's. However, I can say that I'm very pleased with the grip so far, even in these cold days where there isn't any heat in the tarmac. The bike seems very stable and neutral and I have plenty of confidence in them.
