If I were to ignore my 6 speed requirement, I would venture a guess the ZRX-1200 would be at the head of the list. I've ridden a ZRX-1100 & it had ridiculous power. I'm sure the 1200 has that much more. Sort of like turning your amps to 11 I would guess. It's the motorcycle equivalent of a 93 Camaro Z28.

I'm sure the new Z1000 is a very capable bike & it was reviewed very favorably in one of the magazines I read recently. There is no nice way to say this so I'll just say it. The bike is ugly , VERY ugly. I'm willing to give the bike it's props for being a great bike. I simply can't bring myself to own one based on looks alone. It's the same deal for the new VFR. It may be the best thing since sliced bread but I think (my opinion & yours can & probably will vary) the bike is vomit inducing ugly. The red color is rich & lustrous. Now it's an ugly bike with a nice color on it. I just could not bring myself to buy the Z1000 or VFR1200 because they are ugly. It's that simple.

Don't worry, I'm not here to contribute more Hateraide to the HD water cooler. I've ridden more than a few HD's over the years. I rode my neighbor's VRod last summer & clearly stated I liked the bike but it had it's drawbacks. I also clearly stated what HD would need to do to make me buy one. They haven't done those things & probably never will so they will not receive my cash.

The HD XR1200? I got nothing against it. It simply does not appeal to me. The gas tank is too small. The visual/styling lines are off. It just seems like a normal Sportster than someone threw some hi-perf parts on it & raised the price $1000. Oh... Wait... That's exactly what it is.

Even if I were to set my contempt of HD aside, they would have to drop the price of EVERY bike they make by 30%. There isn't a single new component on ANY HD. They update the motors every 5 years or so but the rest of the bike just has a piece of chrome moved from here to there & they jack the price by $500 & call it a new model. I sure as hell am not going to contribute to the Orange & Black Cult until they actually ask reasonable prices for their products. As an example, the 883 should be $4500 OUT THE DOOR. Other than FI, it hasn't changed since the 80's. It sure isn't worth $7000. No way, no how. I know they have/had a promotion where you could buy the 883 ride it for a year & then receive your full purchase price back as long as you bought a full size HD. If they are willing to give you ALL your money back, that clearly tells me that the bike isn't worth squat to begin with.

    KC-10 FE out...

    Hi Kids!
This is why I cannot leave this Forum (despite no longer owning a VFR)! Some of you may feel this is out of hand but in actuality, it is very civil in comparison to the silly stuff on the Kawasaki and Triumph forums. Those guys are kids. We are all relatively mature adults HERE. For anyone that knows the players here (KC-10, BadBilly, etc.), the reality is that these guys have contributed lots of really good posts andreplies over the years. Sure, they have strong opinions and are not afraid to call someone on their stuff but they have my respect. Who doesn't have a strong opinion about the bike they ride or the bike they might like to buy? Who doesn't think that sometimes these guys are a bit hard on folks? This Forum is about FUN things: riding bikes. Don't take it too seriously. Just tune out if it becomes too much. In the meantime, thanks again for a fun place to visit!
    Ok, back to Round 6...

    Hey NB,

Stick around! KC may just give you one of his VFR's when they start pissing him off. ;)

I think 02dude would be nicer to me if he knew I was only 3' tall and was a quadruple amputee. It used to be worse for me when the other kids in my hood would use me for home plate.

You being a philosophical guy, I have a question. Since 02 is roughtly 21% of the air we breathe would it be fair to categorize 02dude as an airhead or just a partial airhead?

EZ to find. The best way barring another episode of selective memory is to cursor up to "photo gallery" in this very post and whack on your mouse. We know you have done this because the bike was a minor part of one of your disclaimers. Feel free to find some bugs on the front of the fairing. I was about 80 miles or so from the house. Lots of forested area and the road follows a river, so lots of critters.

Since you are going to be probably flying over my house in a Blackhawk or doing a HALO from 45,000 ft. to rape and pillage everybody in the house including my dog. Let me know in advance and we won't have a fire in the fireplace. I am suprised that a person of your talents just doesn't send a drone or some of those Rent-A-Ninjas.

Ah bb, I see you're still making friends as only you can. Allow me to point out that adjusting your attitude is something 02 would rather handle personally. I know I would love to, you lying sack of shit.

    Strong opinions are no problem.

Raising the BS flag is no problem.

    Sarcasm is applauded.

The problem is someone who routinely dispenses personal attacks on other members.

If KC wants to start a thread with his own opinion, I agree with KC when he said that "no one forces you to hit the reply button." My issue is with trolls that lurk around and turn perfectly good threads into trash by attacking people. It happened early today in another thread and shortly after it started again here. Maybe it wasn't as big of a deal in this thread as it was in the other so I appologize to members here that probably don't understand.

Flamewar aside, KC, i suppose the new CB1000R would be out of the question if imported next year? sport-standard, not a round headlight but a small flyscreen, upright, pull the chrome plastic off the muffler and it goes like, well, like your typical honda sewing machine.

I have to say personally the 'retro' styled stuff never really appealed to me, but then, i cant remember a time before cd's. That being said, if anyone konws where i can get a CBX for a reasonable price, those six slim cylinders are calling to me.....

    ps. your mom :p

How about this nice new model designed and built by hand in Lloydminste, Saskatchewan, Canada. They are not available across the border but nothing has ever stoped you guys before when you wanted something. And how could you not want one of these?

I thought you were the commander of the BS flag? You're a lying piece of shit. If you were honest you'd acknowledge I have done nothing but ask you for opinions. Instead you attack people. The only one who needs to be censored is you and if you weren't hiding behind a computer screen you wouldn't have the balls to say the shit that pours out on the board to anyone's face.

Whatever, I've said my peace so go ahead and get your last word in pussy so this thread can get back on track.

You forgot doper, drunk, child molester, wife beater, harleydood, and burgerflipper. Damn dude if you are going to be effective you have to be creative and not rely on these cliche's.

My opinion is that you should be the official censor. The motion needs a second before we can continue. You have my vote and screw all this freedom of speech stuff.

We now resume our regular programming and return to the main question, will KC buy a Harley?

Liking to think and thinking are vastly different. Don't you agree? How will I tell you two bad boys apart when you come a knockin at my door. I'm thinking this matching costume thing may not be such a great idea after all. With all those resources that you two fellers seem to have, maybe you could get a Superman suit for 02 and a Batman suit for yourself at WalMart.
