Painting the wifes bike

ok im back to work, B was able to get the sticker off of his side but I am working on the"boot side" lots of scuffs, it aint gonna peel off in one peice. I gots lots of rubbing alcohol and a little rubber scraper thingie. Also I got a little alcohol for my damn self. I will get this part of the job and the decals off the tank tonight.

flyn Just Pm'ed me that he has a booth set up that I can use. Like actual paint and stuff, not rattle can. Can't pass up a genourous offer like that. The intention was just to make the bike not green. Maybe shifting over to making it actually look nice. Still going with vfrhusbands paint job idea, just gonna use finer materials and a better location.

Now where is my walmart receipt?!

Well, Since the combination of 2 wheels and gravity have Cundalini's bike shop bound HE WILL HAVE TIME TO FINISH MUD's BIKE!!! Anyway, RUMOR has it you are on prepping the tank for paint. Since most bike makers clearcoat over top tank stickers/emblems, this is more work than just heating up and pealing stickers. This is the bike I'm painting now, '04 CBR954RR, big red wing and Honda wing emblem on it. No easy way to get this off. I have sanded them off & used paint stripper in the past & decided this sucks. This time I razor bladed it off, stripped the left over glue with brake cleaner, sanded it all rough and painted it all is self etch primer. I used filler primer in the low spots where the stickers were and sanded the area flush. One final coat of self etching and I'm ready for color base coat.

 

Wait a minute, that says "1000" on the tail.

Yes, I know it's a 954. I have an 02 in black/silver.

 

Don't get me startedon the fake liter bikes again..... That is allready removed.
