My take on ABS is that if you can get it, get it. When you don't need it, you will never know it is there. When you do need it, it will be there for you. I've never owned a vehicle or bike with it but if I had the chance I would take it in a heartbeat. I do suggest that if you do get a bike with ABS that you try it out in a parking lot so that you know what to expect and how it will react and feel to you. This keeps you from being surprised in the even the ABS kicks in and help you avoid a panic.

I havent even sat on one yet and im in love with this bike.Though I Havent looked for used ones as I wat to buy a new one.Ive only been able to find 2 new ones in this area one is a white 2006 and a RWB 2007 both still new at the stealership and both for $7999.00.Which someone noted may be a bit high but hey thats half the price of my Harley.Im gonna have to get all new gear cause everything I have says Harley Davidson on it and it just would be right advertising H-D while riding the Honda.I think something else I will be doing is powdercoating the wheels to match the paint especially if i get the RWB one.

Agreed. I've got a sargent saddle and heli bars and they made all the difference in the world. Mods for this bike are certainly more function oriented than with the Harley.

Can't wear H-D gear while riding a VFR huh.........

Jacket fits me great and is armored incase I take up pavment surfing again, who cares what it says man!!

As for ABS, I have it, I have yet to get it to engage by myself or with a pillion on board. I've punched the brakes pretty hard, and in the rain too. I wouldn't let it sway your decision on what bike to buy, like Meatloaf said, if you don't need it, you'll never even know it's there.
