Just thought I will let you guys know. I have just ordered a new seat and this is the deal. It finishes on Sunday evening. I have gone for the Candy Red Welt to match the bike.

    email from Sargent
Our current promotion is 20% off and expires on Sunday, 2/21/2010. There will be another promotion next week, but the discount won’t be as deep. As far as pricing, it would be $429.95 before the discount, $343.96 with the discount, plus $60.00 S/H (USPS To Canada) for a total of $403.96 – a savings of over $85.00 (wow – surprised myself!).

The one I wanted was going to cost extra from them due to it not being standard as I wanted the candy red welt. Sargent worked out cheaper with this discount.

Finally I got Sargent seat to my VFR 2001 :)
    Looks good...but haunts few questions:
    1. When My rear Sargent seat locket, it has some free movement, when I trying to flip up one side -it moves and if I would use some force maybe I can put out of joint. Rear seat has some slack. Your thoughts about it??
    2. How to prevent from drop front seat when using rear cowl. How to lock it? Or how do not lose it :)

I got mine from sandhills because of the savings (not sure if they are still in business) but the canadians get the screw on price and shipping. If you get a good price reopen thread - sargent seat pricing special for Canadian riders to get their attention. They will appreciate it.

Just saw this thread for the first time. I did get a Sergent Seat off Ebay I think a few years back. Can't remember what I paid but it was a pretty good deal at the time. Not a mark on it them. Welts are starting to wear now though. Soon I will need to recover that seat.

And Dainius. If I understand you correctly, it appears that the rear portion of your seat may not be fully engaging into the locking mechanism there. Mine has very little if any movement once it is locked in place. The rear seat cowl should fit over three tabs under the seat. One tab is at the rear, while two are on either side closer to the front of the cowl. It is a far tighter fit than the stock seat but they will fit on with a little bit of force. I wonder if the tabs have been removed from either your seat or the cowl?

Just the place for another unashamed plug for my buddy Rich at Rich's seats near Seattle and near that other country just a little North of Seattle.
