It can't be that pricey since the CBR600RR costs substantially less and it has fully adjustable everything.

    KC-10 FE out...

I agree with KC-10 on this one. They already have the components. It seems to me it would be cheaper just to use the same stuff.

I'll take a fully-adjustable rear shock and usd front forks with 320mm disk brakes, radial calipers and master cylinder, and SS brake lines, please.

Inline 4s are easier to make. But suspension, I agree, shouldnt be much more expensive. Compression dampening is simply another couple of holes and a couple of small valves.

Upside down forks, are the same, but upside down. They shouldnt be any dearer.

Except the 600RR is substantially lighter and doesn't typically carry a lot of junk. Heavier means it needs to be stronger. I suspect just using the 600RR suspension on a VRF would potentially get you in serious trouble. They go to a lot of trouble on the RR's to keep weight down so I think there is probably little room to play with in terms of strength. The VFR would probably need a specific suspension design.

Having said all that I still think that at the price of a VFR they should come with fully adjustable upside down forks and a decent rear shock. In my opinion that is the biggest weakness of the VFR.

The 600s USD fork design is much stronger, it would only need heavier springs, proper length, & offset to match the new VFR. Hopefully Honda will give us fully adjustable suspension, with USD on the 7th.
