ebay fairings

I couldn't find anything in the search so here goes.

What's the quality of the chinese fairings that are all over ebay for like $300 a set? I can't imagine them being real good, just wondering if anyone had any expierence with them.

On that note, any tips on good places for decent aftermarket/third party fairings?

 

I do not remember witch one it is but, sport rider or motorcyclest just wrote a great review on them

 

it was sport rider, they liked them - the outfit from Hong Kong (not china)

 

Motorcyclist had a short write up in the Garage section. the Hong Kong firm is Bliss-Star Bodywork, website listed as eBay Store - bliss-star: CBR600 RR, LED or NEON Lighting, CBR1000 RR. Full set for under $400. Too bad they don't make 4th gen stuff or I would give it a try. The review from the magazine was positive with 4/5 stars.

 

Last time Drewl was here he was saying he knew a place that would repair and paint body work for half of original price, may want to PM him and see if he has info.There used to be a guy in Sacramento that did the same thing and I took some badly damaged parts to him and they were better than new when he was done with them and he charged half of replacement cost .

 

I have seen two different kinds of "Chinese" Fairings, both were amazing! I saw the RedBull Ducati kits. Really nice job. A little tweak here a little tweak there, everything fit nicely. For the price, you can't go wrong!!!

 

My buddy has an F4i with Chinese Repsol plastics. The paint quality is amazing, smooth as glass and nice graphics. The fit is just OK. The plastic is thinner than OEM Honda stuff, and it's brittle ABS, not the same flexible blend that Honda uses. A couple of his tabs have broken off. They are worth the price if you don't want the hassle of repairing and repainting, but I'd rather have refinished OEM parts for fit and durability.

 

I totally agree with this. I got them on my 6th Gen, I got the kit with the tank cover and it totally doesnt fit, as I forced it enough that it ended up cracking on me, I bought another tank and in the process of getting it painted orange and getting the wheels done in orange, here are pics of it a few days ago....

It will never fit, its the same size as the tank. I bought another tank. I have the cover on now, but its cracked pretty good just to get over the tank, it was a waste, but the company took care of me on it. I am hoping to get the tank painted and wheels done in the next week or two.

 

I've been conversating with seller Yes2Yeah for awhile and I think I'm gonna go with him. He said he'd take $20 off on group buys. He didnt say how many needed to sale, but $20 is $20. PM me if you're going to buy from him.

Who you having paint your wheels? I'm wanting to get mine white and looking for a trusting painter that isn't going to hose me.

 

Well I was going to have leatherman Body shop do it Albion as he does amazing work. But I just found another bike so I am trying to sell mine so I can grab up this other one. So if you know someone interested in a VFR Just like the pics, I can hook them up
