was going 125 then my right fairing flew off, but was headed to see what all she's got. It was like I was going warp speed and she couldn't handled it capn lol. Person before me didn't take care of it, fairings were about to fall off anyway. Gonna wait unitl I get new ones to try it again and head into the unknown

Totally amazed at how fast VFR's are. What kind of cool stickers do you have on your bikes or do you have those cool racing stripes? I hear those are the best mods to make to go faster... LOL. Honestly, I just never get an opportunity to let it fly before the whole getting caught thing gets to me. There is some funny stuff in this thread... and be safe out there. No telling when Grampa is going to come out of no where and ruin your day.

seriously... I got to 130mph on the 60 freeway (south CA) late one night... got a bit of wobble that made me slow down... plus I scared myself lmao... but I guess the fact that my bike is a gen2 means you guys on newer shinies are movin' quicker...

Well I finaly decided to abuse my VFR today and see what shes got... 159mph on the speedo with stock gearing. May have been a little more if I had tucked in further but I did not want to be up there that long. I would like to add that my 5th gen solidly out pulled two 636s one R6 and an F4i alll the way to that mark. This aint your grandpas cadilac.:party2:

i personally did a test with a buddy of mine who rides with me and is also a LEO. we had a bet that the VFR would not get above 150 even with the extensive mods I have done, and considering i am 6 foot 6 and roughly 250 pounds with gear on. He would get to write me a ticket if I coouldnt do it and if i could i got to ride his mv agusta f4 for the weekend. pretty fasir trade if you ask me. (by the way the buell 1125r is mor fun than the mv......Im just sayin). We had a road here in birminham Al. that was finished but was not open to the public. It is an interstate which will be the future I-22 but has been named corridor x. With no traffic on this road 76 degrees on a spring night with 90% humidity 103 octane(dont know if it matters) air box mod, gutted exhaust, 1.25 inch raise in the back, scotts stearing stablizer, power comander 2 with custom map, VALVE block of plates, high wind screen and me tucked like a baby in the womb and 6.5 miles of flat straight brand new black tops, six gear with me just under the rev limiter......verified by radar....162mph!!!!.Hee hee the MV was mine (for two days) 162mph is not bad for 700 plus pounds rolling down the road. i had no idea what the spedo was reading because i couldn't look. Kinda sad actually. Honda should have been able to get a lot more grunt out of that engine. And thanks to the aftermarket for not supporting this bike like the do the hyabooties or the kringa zx 14"s. WAKE UP aftermarket people give us a v4 like the aprilla!

oh sorry mine is a 1998 vfr 800 with about 8000 miles on the clock. Got it from a guy who was about 130 lbs and like 5 foot 1. guess what?... he wrecked it....stored it for like 8 years and then i bought it for 700 dollars and.... 2500 dollars later....i have a polished turd. :) no actually i like the bike but..... damn inverted forks, a 190 tire, and body work and better exhaust options would be awesome to have without having to frankinf#ck the damn thing.

my 99er vfr runs 260 km/h on the speddometer. i guess it´s optimisitik and the speedometer gives me an unrealistik value. her we have the possibility to ride a plenty of sections at the autobahnen ( like an interstate in the us ) fast as we can,we want or how brave we are.
i prefere to ride at the landstraße ( like a highway in the us ) with average speeds between 100 - 120 km/h. it´s very realax and i can enjoy the ride.

260km/h in the clock is +/-250km/h real, because some time ago i check this value in my gps, 250km/h is 240km/h real, this my experience.
