Honda sells 3 different lengths of mounting stalks, 23mm, 34mm. and 47mm (what you probably have).

Also available through Dennis Kirk @ $10 each

I need to pickup a stem and a light assy to replace one of mine. I bolted up one from my Ninja 250 for the time being.

you can also save your money and cut the "dumbo" ears down. this was my only option to have front turn signals , being a broke ass student and all. reattaching then is kind of fun. since when I cut thenm the mounting bolt went with it I took a self tapping screw. and ran it in. n I thought the arm was all plastic at first but there is a metal plate, which is cool because it gives the screw a better hold

There used to be an error on the Honda microfische for the Vf500F. They had the front and rear winker stay part #'s swapped. Ordering the front short one got you the long-ass rear one. (I worked at a Honda/Yamaha dealer for 12 years)
The last time I checked (a while ago), the error was still there.

Also, the OEM Honda stays have a full metal inner. The last aftermarket ones I got (for my wife's CB-1) did not. They mount just fine and look identical, but they bounce around a lot.

    Mike.

Thank you for the post. The OEM metal core sounds like the way to go. I'll keep an eye out on eBay for a used set.

I ran into that on the VFR700 and the fische was wrong for some aftermarket ones allso, I guess they copied Honda part numbers.
