I'm wanting to know how long before someone shoehorns the 1200 into a Gen 6 frame ?

I was going to say the same thing, one every 90 seconds Hmmm. that ain't like very hand made is it?? computer control air torque wrench? crazy. But did anyone else catch the conventional swing arm at the 44 second mark?? what I saw going back and forth is it looks like the same air box and engine frame assembly Hmmm ?? but was sure it was a another machine, yet it jumps right into the SSSA. something fishy??

That's a really cool find. The factory itself is a technological marvel with all those wheel lifters, did you see how those people could just move around wheels?

I wonder if someone ever drops a bike? That'd be a serious paycheck deduction.

There are CBRs being produced in this video as well. CBRs have conventional swingarms and chain drives.

    Pay attention dummies.

Kumamoto produces a MOTORCYCLE every 90 seconds. They don't build a VFR1200F every 90 seconds. Watch it again and pay attention for christ's sake!

This is Honda's mothership factory where they build dozens of different models.

I guess if someone can figure out how to weld a swingarm pivot to the 1200 motor they would have the beginnings for a really shitty bike.

Wow thats negative, would think the easiest way would be to leave the shaft drive and the VFR1200 wheel in place, probably make the wheellbase a bit long and wouldn't expect anyone to try for a few years until wrecks become plentyiful and maybe it wont work but I'm sure that wont stop someone trying like Mark Harris on the UK VFR site fitting in a Gen 5 engine in a Gen 6 or a guy I work with who has 2 * RGV250s with RG500 Gamma engines installed one road regestered just for grins.

Where do you suppose you'd run the swingarm pivot?

On the HD network, not sure how many ppeople get that on their cable systems. They have a series of one hour shows called "Twist of the Throttle" which highlights a different motorcycle manufacturer with each show. The one on Honda they go to the factory and show them putting together various bikes, spending quite a bit of time showing a GoldWing made, what was intersting to me is that they show and talk about them heating up the wiring loom before installing it on the frame. Makes sense when you think about it. With something that thick, makes it easier to bend it around the frame and secure it where you need to. I would imagine they do the same for the wiring harness on the VFR. Explains why when you take the bike apart, it still has the bends to it.
