Thanks, 70,000 miles huh? Nice to know she can do the big miles. That's the main reason I got rid of my Sprint 1050, rattling and poor build quality.

Excellent color and excellent bike. I purchased my '01 last year and absolutely love it. I rode my brother's ZX-14 last year and I couldn't wait to get back onto the VFR.

I know the feeling. I have been with my 5th gen for over 3 yrs now, and I have abused the hell out of her. My main cure for anything wrong is to try riding the piss out of it and see if it works out. The bike looked brand new when I got it but not so much anymore. Scratches all over. Every piece of plastic has been replaced at least once. Lot's of plastic epoxy and a little bubble gum and spit and she's holding together. I have almost enough plastic on my 'wall of shame' to build another bike just for the track. Hell, I even have spare gas tank.

And I still haven't seen another bike that I want to trade it for.

You can't go wrong with a VFR. They have great reliability and longevity. Are you looking new or used?

I actually have a '00 plate vfr 800fi lined up. Red as hell and 29k on the clock. Can't buy it til april but it's my mates bike and he is willing to wait til then. Was meant to be testing it this week but it's gone and snowed again :(

That's great. Knowing the history of the bike is huge.

Well after 2 months and 2000 miles later, this bike is definitely better than my 05
