I'm totally lost on this one.

 

The last time I rode without my nipple protectors someone grabbed them both and tried to tune in Tokyo.

 

I thought nipple caps were called pasties?

Biggest problem with running no caps/covers is that crap will get in there (mainly water) and cause corrosion, clogging up the bleed hole, and possibly rust welding itself into the caliper permanently.

any corrosion in there will make it more difficult to bleed your brakes in the future. Anything that did get in there would just sit too, since most point up, any dbris would not be inclined to fall out. Water could sit there and do its stuff for weeks or even months.
