So this gas station clerk says.......................

There is the one gas station I go in frequently for coffee, cigs, etc., and I have gotten to know the owner of the place. He has a guy working there that has the weird face piercings and ear lobe gauges.

This guy (who I always refer to at "metal boy"), stops me one day recently and tell me that he heard I have a different bike. I tell him that I did recently purchase the VFR and he quickly begins telling me about his GXR. He tells me that he had the motor all apart and did a lot of custom tuning to make the bike faster.

Like an idiot, I asked him how his bike turned out. Metal Boy then tells me that he took it to the track to make some time runs. THIS GUY TELLS ME, "It will go from 0 - 385 MPH in 3.2 seconds." :crazy:

I did not have the slightest idea what to say to him. It was like I was hit with a stun gun or something. I just walked away................:doh:

Am I the only one that draws the nuts out of the wood work?

I heard the guy right. 0 - 385 MPH in 3.2 seconds. As I tried to calm myself down immediately following that encounter (I was thinking the guy must think I am stupid), I thought several things about his claim. First of all, there is no way he would be able to hang on to something with that kind of pull and would you need a special clothing so you would not catch fire or something?????? :crazy:

There are other stories, none of which I heard however the owner of the store related to me:

His old Kia Spectra has a Turbo Charger which he claims he installed himself, and perhaps the best............

The owner overheard Metal Boy tell a customer that he was on the TV show "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" two different times. Not as a contestant, but as a 5th grader! This guy is like 20 years old, and that stupid show has only been on a couple years!!!

I try not to go in there when I see his car on the lot.
