I have been considering putting a wider swing arm on my 86 or possible a single sided swing arm. Will a 93 vfr swing arm work or is there an aftermarket company out there that has swing arm. I have been toying with the idea of putting a wider tire on back.

Given the limitations imposed by the front wheel, a wider rear tyre makes no sense unless you switch to CBR 600 wheels.

Agreed, I would say a front end swap is in order to be rid of the wheel and the pinner forks.Tighe has the front end parts needed, give him a PM if you decide to cross that road.It truely is what the bike needs, a different animal when done.We have done many swaps and the machine work for the forks is $125 and the guy that has done all for me is just a few miles from Tighe and I would gladly do the leg work for you.

OR.........sell the bike and find a good gen 4, a much more refined machine in almost every way and with far better wheels/tyres & swingarm.

Toe Cutter may be just about the only man so far to fit the gen 4 swinger to a gen 2, a fantastic accomplishment requiring an array of advanced skills!!
