just so you guys know that its not all sun, fun, margaritas, and bikinis. here are a few pictures of what the weather front is doing to us right now..I managed top sneak out during a brief lul in the rain and get the kid out running around...she has been stuck inside for three days..and taking her to a Mall to run around would be good....but all the malls we have in SB are outside malls. if you look close you can see the barnacles from the "normal" high tide... this pier was closed because the waves were so high. you can see behind the drama queen that the waves are pretty rough she was scared of the waves and was screaming help me! help me! we were actually about 30 feet or more from were the water was stopping at. being a good swimmer didn't help this poor guy.. I found this sea lion washed up on the beach. from the feel of his body< yes I touched it and poked it...I was wearing surgical gloves and the look of his body he got beat up pretty good on the rocks and then swam inside the lenth of the pier and got smashed into the pier snapping his neck and darn near ripping it's jaw off( yeah it hit the pier it had good size wood splinters in its mouth). and yeas I let my daughter see it. and explained to her that the seal was dead and even if we called the doctor it would help. she was sad about it for the only reason that the seal couldn't go home to see its mommy and daddy and couldn't eat pizza anymore.
No...I have a set in the first aid bag that I carry in my truck. the seal was washed up within 10 feet of the parking lot..
Now I know there is something wrong with you. YOu took your truck and not the bike. I love storms. Tofino British COlumbia has a tourism industry centered around people going out to watch storms. I would love to go but the wife is not interested. Am I thinking "November Road Trip"? Your little girl is really a sweetheart
hmm, I didn't realize that kind of seal ate pizza. I'll have to remember that when I go see the seals again. Is dominos okay or should I take Fatties?
Nice CSI anylisis of the crime scene. Glad to hear you didn't contaminate and wore your gloves, please let us know when the offical autopsy results come in. I told TC last night that he could supplement his income by building pontoon outriggers and a paddle wheel for the VFR's in SoCal with all the rain and flooding. News here said today is supposed to be the worst yet. Take care!
Judging from the snapshot, that is an adult female California Sea lion. Harp seals are not native to the California coastal waters.
yeah I wish I could have taken the bike....Johnny law frowns on preschoolers ont he back of motorcycles. FAtties? sounds good I'll have to try one when I'm in the area next. it wasn't to contaiminate the crime scene... it was to keep from contaminating me..... the rain is supposed to slack off...uh umm...I think friday....of next week folks have moved out of the hills here to avoid the possibilities of having a mudslide in their back yard. yeah, you are correct,,I just couldn't think of the name last night...
