I think Toe pretty much called it, I was merely reinforcing.

    Yeeeeeeesh!

I will start with the tail section, it is a very nice part and if compared to other after market body work I have had to fit it is perfect. It came with pop rivets to install the two little brackets that hold the tail light and the fit was pretty damn good, the only issue was that the oem plastic is so thin that the brackets needed a little love bend because the new stuff is pretty thick. After the light was in it just slips over the tail , two original bolts in the rear secure it at the top rear of the subframe and the for little ball ends that are on stock panel are on this to and just pop them in place and its on. I would think like an extra 30 seconds to service a battery or any thing else you may want to get to under the panels. The finish is not perfect but a quick sanding and it would be ready to shoot. This by far the best option for the long discontinued tail cowl.

JTC is a member from down south. He is a regular at the SLO BBQ rally's we have yearly. You may have seen him in pics or on the live feed during those events. I believe he lives near LA and he works as an EMT. He gave me a t-shirt from the company he works for, but I'm not positive what the name is. I <think> it's Liberty but not for sure.

kind of my thoughts, too. I hear through the grapevine that there may yet be another option, though. Keep your ear to the ground and maybe the parts will be there for impatient guys like us to actually consider it before too long.

The guy that make it is VFRChuck and he is here on VFRW, personally I have not bought from him. I have wanted to but his need times are a little bit of a fantasy...you will get all that you order is what I have seen and heard but the wait is a killer.. In all fairnesds chuck does have a "real" job so this is not his bread and butter money.... So he does it when he can and gets the product to you ....eventually.....again this is all second hand from folks that have bought from him..I am still thinking about it because he is the best at it.. and his stuff looks good..I have seen the whole kit that is going on JTC's bike and with minimal work it can be perfect....oh wait ...I already said that...

As I said, I emailed the guy (his email is vfrchuck@bright.net) and he said wait time on a tail section is about 4 weeks. Not terrible considering he makes them himself.

awesome work! ok, it looks really good but...what about the terrible mechanical acccessibility?!?!?

to prevent tail cracks I've prefered this solution...my tail section, before fiberglass repair, was divided into 4 parts :yo:

I am looking at this and thinking. If JTC has to send his back all the way to sac for a tail section swap by the infamous toecutter, maybe we should take this thing off his hands for a couple hundred and save him the trouble of having to send it back up nexxt time the turn signal goes out.
