86 VFR 750f seat Q

On this year - did the 750F come with a blue or black seat? I see both looking around e-bay and such. Maybe the black ones are recovers?

 

all I can say is my 86 700 came with a black seat....TOECUTTER has an 86 750 and it has a blue one.... I think the seata are interchangeable though...I could be wrong..

 

Mine came with a blue seat. I think Canadian models came with a red seat.

 

I never saw a black seat on an '86, but the '87 F2 had a light grey seat......

 

86 was a darker blue than the 87 but close in color on the RWB and pearl white models. And the grey seat was on the 87 midnight blue model.

 

Dark blue on my original 750 seat. American model.

 

Whats wrong with your bike?

 

I have 3 86 750 Canadian models all with blue seats,i have never seen a86 with a red seat in my neck of the woods.

 

Been a while since I got the other 750 bought and running and updated my profile to reflect the changes.
One is running and until I get all the body work and other stuff done on the running bike I'm not gonna touch the locked up bike.

 

Blue seat on the '86 750 RWB. I believe the '86 700 that had the pearl white paint had the black seat.
