So I journeyed up to the northernish side of california on friday to catch up with the Guys up there. Plus have some work done on the bike that I wasn't comfortable doing.
The drive started alright.. after picking up the trailer loading the bike and getting out of town 3 1/2 hours later than I wanted we were on our way
After a brief stop in San Fransisco and opening of some late christmas presents.I dropped the child and Girlfriend off and headed on to Sacramento.

The drive was pretty uneventful right until I got stopped for driving 62 MPH isstead of 55 MPH ( california trailer law) . as it turns out if your tired and Snotty to the patrolman they will try to give you a rectal exam right there on the side of the road...
so after a brief(35minute) stop and explaination as to why I didn't have the registration for a bike that I was trailering and where I was going at 1100PM on a friday night I was back on my way..

I got to TOes House around 1230am , he was asleep already but some of the Norcal guys waited up for me to get there.. Drewl, Bwiess, Toxic, superTex, Doodles all stayed up and welcomed me with a "get a beer yourself bitch". II had 2 and everyone was leaving or finding some floor to crash on..
Saturday morning Toes Wife made breakfast (yumm yumm) and we got stsarted on the bike around 11 or so.

here is a picture of Toe working on it..

Then after the fixing of the VFR fun and games insued:

Oh yeah there was gin and drewl

The garage was mostly VFR's athought tainted by to suzuki DRZ's

if you look close enough there is two second gens, a third gen, and a Sixth gen...

Then the conversation turned towards the infamous exhaust system...I saw it it is real ..

these guys are a piece of work (fosterRad)

any way fun was had. it was nice to see TOE Drewl, Bwiess, and Toxic again.. saw drewl and reg a while back when they stopped for lunch on the way to Longs.... and it was nice to finally meet Cundalini, Mudguts, and supertex..

here Cundalini sporting the Leathers on loan program

here is toxic TOE and Bwiess

    Mudguts and Cundalini
    [IMG]

All in all it was a good time. got the valves adjusted, which weren't out that much for a 20+year old bike( intakes were a little tight exhaust were right at spec.) the VFR is running better than ever after everything TOE did to it ( he even removed that pesky emissions stuff) tightened up a few loose bolts and cussed me a little bit but it was all good..

Long is even more famous than we thought..he has a following in Sacramento as proof of this sign I saw. and these were all over the place..

    later ,

yeah. its a nice "calm" place helped to get the influence of the stuck up city off of me..Don't get me wrong I like where I live but some of the people (those that do not ride Viffers) just act like they are entitled to a life of easys treet and it gets a bit annoying at times...good times at the TOECUTTER casa. his wife rocks ...she kept us in food and drink guacamole (homemade it was to die for)

It was cool to hang out, even if we didn't get to ride. Thanks again, Toe for opening your house and making your wife feed us.

not saying that it would have been cool to meet you pyro.......but 10 hours in the car with my three year old was enough.......swinging by your place I think by the time I got to TOEs' place, I would drink all the beer gin and anything else that I could get my fingers wrapped around..... LOL......besides the next time I go to sacremento........... I hope to be riding the bike ...not trailoring it.

It was a good time , was a bummer the weather was not better so we could have rode around a bit, was looking foward to it but will have to be another time. Spring is just around the corner and so are many more good times.

yeah, the four tapper is dry. I'm leaving it that way until March. My wife hits the 4-0 so she is having a party and asked me to get a keg for that. That's about when we finish up p90x anyway, or pretty close.

I'm going to recondition the whole kegerator before then. It's old school from a working bar so it has had lots of use. By the time SLO 2010 happens, I hope to have it looking and functioning really nice. Also, I hope to be running at full capacity just for the hell of it.
