Sounds like a plan. Gramps, as I call him, rides a Suzuki Boulevard C50. I tend to let him ride in front of me so I can keep an eye on him. Hes 78yrs old, but he been riding bikes of 40yrs.

I believe they've reserved the KSL from May 31 to June 3rd. The whole thing is down for the 1st week in June. Anybody out there please correct me if i'm wrong.

    WNY Group

I like the groups broken down by skill. But I hope to be coming down to ride with alot of VFR's. Might I suggest after breakfast the whole group heads out for a group ride, which then splits off into smaller ones. Then later all parties meetup again for lunch at a certain dinner. So we are seen as a large group again. After lunch then go the separete ways again. Then meet as a group for the trip back to kickstand Lodge for dinner. Got to admit that would look good for a calendar photo. (talk to killboy for photos of it)

Just my 2 cents. But that is up to the tour guides too work it out if they want to or even if it is at all possible.

Since matt1986vf500f "deleverance" comment I wish him to stay in front of me. But then I remember he has issues of bike parts falling off now I just hope he is with the faster group...

things i do for a good time..

great suggestions about the whole group being split up into smaller groups by riding style/pace. have spoken to matt (delivering the deliverance :hump:) about this and will post some general rules/ideas about our routes and rides in the near future.
btw, keep yer door locked, lest you like to squeal like a pig! :nelson:

I think that's going to be the safest and most accomadating way to go about it. Big group photo opps just wouldn't be possible except at designated stops around the area. Killboy works off the Dragon pretty much. The rest will be up to us, which shouldn't be a problem.
Good group photo opps would be at TWO, Bridal Veil Falls, top of 348, the overlook @ Deals Gap, just to name a few. I've had the privledge of showing Joey, Matt and a few others some choice roads out that way so don't hesitate to ask for suggested routes or places to stop. Matt and Tony have my phone number.:flex:

Does anyone have any interest in a T-shirt to commemorate the event? 1st annual VFRW Spring GTG (just an example)2010. May be someone has a connection for some inexpensive screen printing. Obviously you'd have to decide on what to call the event relativley soon, collect money etc. Just a thought. I would think 20 shirts would do it.

i like the idea of spilting up the groups by skill levele but the problem will be having enough people that know the area well enough to lead a group

I don't really see that as being a problem if the ride routes are agreed upon the night before or the morning of. I'm sure a few people will bring a map or a GPS unit along. If the route and stops are written down ahead of time you should be able to find everything without difficulty. It's pretty tough to get lost if you're riding main roads. Besides, who says you need to ride all the good roads in one day?

While we're on the subject of safety I recommend buying ResQTags Link: ResQtag Home page They allow you to write down important emergency information in a nifty little packet that you put on the zipper.

+1 on that Joey. Because there will be alot of poeple who are unfamiliar with each other, everyone should carry some kind of emergency contact info with them.

while im thinking about it can everyone tell me what they think there skill level and or how fast you ride is at so we can kinda start thinking what group you would need to be in.

I think its going to be tough to determine what skill level & how fast you ride because everyone thinks they are the best..So just to let you know, I'm at a motogp level with a championship win under my belt, no one can keep up with me. lol jk (I'll ride in the slow group) =)
