Thought I would give you guys a heads up on a real beautiful '90 VFR750, red with white wheels, on San Francisco Craigslist. According to the ad the bike is located in Carmel, CA. The header says 800 but it's a 750 I'm sure. Take a look . . . 1990 Honda VFR 800 It was just posted this evening (Jan. 11, 2010).
Looks like a nice bike but $3600 is a little overpriced in my opinion. $3200 or less is a more realistic price in todays market. Rollin
Rollin, You are probably right, but it has been my experience that buying cherry bikes, even for a little more money, has been the right way to go. A bike that has been well taken care of will save you money for future problems. Now, I know some folks don't care about the looks but only the bottom line...the purchase cost. I want my bikes to be pristine and as close to stock as possible when buying used. My RC30 and my Walter Wolf Suzuki RG500 were that way. After owning them for several years I was able to sell them for double what I paid. Of course, they were pretty rare and collectible.
