    I MAY be in for this as I'm already planning a Ca run. If it happens, here's my intended route:

    Montgomery, Hell on I65 to B'ham, Highway 78 to Memphis and I40 all the way across, with overnight stops in OKC, Albuquerque and lake havasu City.

    Input, options, references for anticipated spinal surgery?

    I wouldn't worry too much about your mind Randy. Just last night someone asked me about my state of mind, and I couldn't even remember which state I left it in! It mostly just got me into trouble anyway, so I don't really miss it. I'm sure you'll do just fine without it.

    Sounds like a reasonable route. just did that similarly in my 1975 scout ii that hadn't been run in almost 10 yrs. I happen to have left an oil trail for you to follow. The big spots are where we spent the night. I made it at an avg speed of about 55ish. I carried oil by the gallon not to mention hoses, water, antifreeze, wd40, misc fluids. It was quite a journey.

    Now I'm realizing a downside to having been married on Memorial Weekend. 1st aniversary same as 2010 SLO, I don't know that I could pull it off. Besides, the Interceptor couldn't make it that far without stopping to add oil every 300 miles - dam blowby blows the oil out of the case at 80mph freeway speed.

    Could take the Honda-Davidson, be a fag, and ride sweep - IF I could convince the wife it's the funnest thing available on Memorial Weekend...

    By all means, bring the wife. I'm not sure if you realized it, but where we live is a vacation destination. We are 15 min from the beach at Morro Bay, Panoramio - Photo of Morro Bay & Rock - http://community.webshots.com/user/firehouse16, 20 minutes from San Luis Obispo los osos - Google Maps, 40 min from Hearst Castle los osos - Google Maps, and surrounded by low traffic twisty roads YouTube - VFR-World on Hwy 229, CA. It's not one you'll want to miss. Even if you don't do all the rides, you can still meet everyone, and do the tourist thing during the day. Think about it...
