Reg I wasn't even trying to change the PANIC button at all. I was trying to change to "Enhanced Interface" from "Standard Interface" when I first got the error. I just tried again and it worked. So as Emily says....Never Mind............

The option to attach / embed an image in a post is gone. You can now only insert the URL to the image. I'm not sure if that is a bug or by design of the upgrade.

It's possible you have selected one of the editors that don't do this. If you want to cahnge your editor see: http://vfrworld.com/forums/vfrworld-news/28278-how-do-i-change-my-message-editor.html

I believe you. I have had a few errors that I can't for the life of me figure out. I try to duplicate them and nothing. I think there is a little gremlin runnin around on here making shit break once then giggling at us scratching our heads when we can't figure it out. For the most part, though the site seems to be working better than the old site, and we are only a week into ironing it out.

Why is there a lot of unused space between my posting and the signature line. I double checked my sig and there are no "blank lines". Results in a lot of extra scrolling... my 2c

it's padding to keep all that info on the left from being cut off. when we add stuff there, the post box balance it out. you'll notice the line before your sig is right about the bottom of the info below your avatar... otherwise, you info would be disjointed from your message and appear confusing to someone reading a thread.

love the new chat features and all the hard work to keep the site cutting edge for us whiny selfish bastards.

That being said, I know how much you love to hear about chat bugs.

Twice now, after leaving VFRW idle for a long time (hourish or so), I come back and see this error froze up in the window:

If I submit a message, it won't show up in the chat, but when I reload the page, I'll see my message actually went thru. That's using IE8.

Not a big deal, just a bug.

    Search Tool

Bump, looked like it got missed in all the mayhem. It appears to only happen when searching seperate forums, but is fine in advanced mode.
Like Jason mentioned, it is a darkworld thing.

Not sure if it's been said but the text color on the polls when using the dark theme is white on white.

I can't use chat. it first started by posting only the first word of posts, then a line popped up that read "GCBOS mute" and i was never able to chat again.......

What the heck does GCBOS mean and why did it boot me off??

GCBOS is the chat windows. Stands for Generic Chat Box Operating System. As of now, its the only chat box they can find compatible with the upgrade. Time will yield new chat boxes for the site and it will be able to be changed later. GCBOS itself will more than likely evolve and yield more features too.

Wrestler brought this up tonight and asked someone to forward it along. No longer are we able to view someone's profile via clicking on their name via the chat box. It brings up the PM function. He was wondering if that functionality would ever be restored. I don't think it can be with GCBOS in its current form but hey... I'm just the messenger.

In "Reply to Thread" mode, none of the icons around the type box respond to left-clicking, including the smilies. Right-clicking shows the typical "Properties".

Smilies do appear in the posted reply when typed in manually.

Try typing "/unmute squirrelman". No quotes. If that doesn't work then let me know and I'll try it on my end. You are the second person I have heard of becoming a mute.

I just tested it from my iPhone and it works from here. I'll try testing from somewhere else later but so far I cannot duplicate your bug. What browser are you using? We have noted some difficulties in browsers that are a few years old.

I am using a slightly older version of Firefox, 3.0.5 .

Hmm. Is this another case of one upgrade leading to another?

Run away, run away, run away!!!!

I tried this also and I'm not sure what you mean. Everything shows up fine for me and is clickable.
