    Hi All,
I'm hoping to join the VFR fraternity and looking for feedback on prices. I've got a line on an 07 with ABS and 2 yrs factory warranty. The bike has about 6k miles. The price is $8500 CDN (the msrp on the bike in 07 was over $14k) and firm. The bike's been well cared for. The reality is there's very few bikes out there. There are new 07's you can buy in the U.S. for less, but after the exchange and other costs to bring the bike home, it's a wash. Also, there would be issues with the warranty.
The price seems fair. Any thougnts?
    Thanks in advance,
    ---David

If after shipping it's a wash than maybe a bike you can break in yourself would be worth it. I do know that the U.S. models only come with a one year warranty so you'ld be loosing a little there. Either way you go you're getting a great bike for a lot less than what most of us paid. I am more than upset with Honda for these drastic price redutions on the VFR. I paid about $11,000 for mine new, out the door. Now, special thanks to Honda, my re-sale just went into the toilet. But I would say your price is excruciatingly fair, even if you pay few hundred more than you would have shopping around.

    Best of luck!

Thanks for the good wishes. I feel for you on the resale price hit. But I've been watching the eBay listings for a new release '07 special edition (without ABS) and they aren't moving very fast even at the "buy it now" price (around $7,000). Maybe it's the economy or time of year, or maybe there's fees built in that I'm not seeing.

a 2007 will be 3 years old in a few weeks + the new 7th gen just came out + bike sales are low + there are other '07s priced lower + economy is still recovering=more bargaining power on your side. either way, the vfr is the best overall bike for me. good luck!

It's a good deal. I got an '06 with 9,000 kms in Oct. for $7750, + had to get new tires & break pads. If you can actually get that 2 year warranty with it for your price, seems pretty good. Anyway, you know you're in the right ball park.

i picked up my 09 back in June for $15 500cdn + tax + $800 i cant remember what they called it but they charged it + financing!! So close to $20 000 or so! I wanted the o9 and i wanted the Black & White so i paid whatever it took to make it mine. tried haggling but they didn't even have one on the floor yet,i think they knocked off $500 after a lot of effort!! So for a 07 for $8 500cdn i think is a good deal, and i know you will love the bike!! any way good luck with your search.

Thanks for the feedback. The more I look around, the more the price seems fair.
