hey gang, merry christmas to all. ok,...is there an easy way to remove the vfr decals without scratching the plastic or losing my fingernails? i picked at one for several minutes and made absolutely no head-way . incidentally, i have a 2000 yellow (the fastest ones, btw!). is there a chance i'll see discolouration (the bike seems to have been garage kept, but i've only had it since mid october). thanks!

Better the hair dryer than a heat gun IMO. Heat guns can blister paint and melt ABS if not used very carefully.

Any adhesive residue can be removed with plain paint thinner. This will also remove any wax on the paint. Other mild solvents that will not harm the clearcoat are Stoddard Solvent and VM&P naptha.

i figured it went without saying that high heat and plastic didnt mix, lol. but your right, there probably is someone out there that would use a heat gun on high on plastic.

In addition to a hair dryer you'll also need a six pack of ice cold pale ale.

    Regards,
