Great Christmas Recommendation

picked up a copy of Keith Code's Twist of the Wrist II DVD (just came out) well recommended. Very graphical demonstrations of the "right way" and the "wrong way" and the science behind why this stuff works.

Huh? I was wondering if Betarace wanted to dub & distribute. For a fee, of course. I dub & burn movies all the time on my Mac. Super easy. Takes about 20-30 minutes per.

 

I hear you, but Keith and Co., put a lot of time and money into the vids and given the nominal cost ($35) I think we should support him and his schools.

Normally I take a anti-establishment view of the world, but in this case Keith deserves the credit and our money.

The DVD's are likely copy protected as well as trademarked and copyrighted. What you are suggesting, if you get nailed by Code's legal eagles will be a very stiff fine and maybe even some slammer time with big bubba since you have also indicted yourself as a mini-pirate. Sort of a mini-pirate meets butt-pirate scenario if you will. (or won't) LOL

And maybe just don't do it because it's wrong? Stealing others' intellectual property is just plain despicable. No different than someone stealing your wallet or your motorcycle. Thieves are the lowest form of life, with the possible exception of rapists and child molesters. If the product isn't worth the price to you, do without it, don't steal it. JMHO.

One thing I've always wondered about the Ca. Superbike School is the whole Dianetics thing. Are they a sponsor? Is Keith a Scientologist?

When I took a class at Streets of Willow last year, they were selling Dianetics books along with the superbike school shwag.

Yes, Kieth is a Scientoligist. Regardless of faith, I believe he has trained more world champions than any other instructor....the guy gets it.

 

If he can teach me to ride like Rossi I'll forgive him believing he's channeling aliens from planet Xanadu or whatever. I'm too dumb to be converted to anything at this point.

 

I have taken all of the Levels and did Level4 3x this year and feel I know Keith pretty well. In short, yes, Keith is a Scientologist and attributes his success in life to his following of that religion. If you read anything about Keith (including his website) you will find that he had a rather rough start in life and was able to turn it around to be the preeminent motorcycle instructor on the planet - more than 100K students, a very large number of national and world champions Superbike School :: Champions Trained and frankly one of the nicest guys you would ever meet.

Yes, he is still hands on in the school and teaches most of the classroom sessions and rides (fast) on the track. I have ridden with him at almost every school I attended.

As far as Dianetics affiliation with the school, I can honestly say the extent of this is stickers on the school bikes, side of the trailer (along with all of the other sponsors) and totally low profile. Yes, materials are made available on the swag table for those interested in learning more, but not at all a feature, pressure or any other reference to this stuff is made other than "its available". I realize that Scientologists get mixed reviews in the press etc, but honestly, it seems to have worked for Keith, and like all folks religious beliefs, I respect that even though I may not be personally interested.

 

Please. This is the least of my worries.

Since betarace and I are friends I asked him about the Scientology thing and he said no worries. The information is there, but it is not pimped to you. Code is there to teach riding skills.

I had some serious concerns before hand. But I've found what betarace says has had truth behind it. Scrapping nickels together to do Level 1 folks!
