The green wheels are actually powdercoated, not painted. Its a much more durable coating, especially in wheel applications. I've done a bunch of other parts in the same color to tie the wheels into a theme. I don't think I'll paint it right away, but maybe in the future. Thanks for the comments!!

    Thanks!
Appreciate it! I have to give credit to the previous owner - he did the hard work on the rebuild, now I get to have the fun modding it. I know the wheels probably go against the grain here, but this is a fun, inexpensive project and I think they look awesome.

Thank you. I'll keep posting as I get more pictures and progress.

These parts also got the green treatment:
handlebars, all pegs, bar ends, and all levers (front brake, rear brake, shifter, and clutch)

Just something I noticed is your forks look like they are too low in the tree. Honda recomends 41mm from the top plate of the tree to the lock ring on the tubes and it is a popular mod to raise them another 2mm-4mm higher than that if you would like quicker steering.

Good eye. I'll have to measure it next time I'm out there. Basically you are saying the front end is too high, correct? If i lower the front the extra 2-4mm, should I also be lowering the rear?

correct, the front is a bit too high. You do not have to lower the rear though. I would recomend returning it to the stock 41mm setting and go for a ride, then drop it another 4mm and ride the bike again to get a feel of the difference. You may also want to contact the PO and find out if he has raised the rear suspension as this could magnify the results of dropping the front past the stock settings.

Damn, I would of been happy with just replacing the fairings and get it back up and running and I could care less about the looks. But when I see people that put the time and effort into a bike like you have, I admire the work. Awesome bike
