    Nozzle's 2010 predictions:

    the Americans
-Ben Spies will run with the Aliens, top four and podium multiple times. Ben will be the top US rider
-Nicky Hayden will continue progress and be one of the best of the rest on the Ducati. He will make it to the podium, but will never win another 800 GP race.
-Colin Edwards will not be able to consistently get the front end to feel quite right, but will entertain us by wearing chaps, a toy pistol belt, and Texas Long horn fender ornaments to the starting line.

    the Italians
-Rossi will turn the mind games up, but will retire after nine World Championships
    - Dovi will continue to be Dani P's test rider and languish behind the Yamahas.
    - Simoncelli - the Honda will fit like the glove fit OJ. but he won't quit -
    you fill in the others

People with Spainglish as a first language
    -George will win the Championship
-Dani will get hurt and when Puig drops him, he will leave the GP class. (sorry NCB, I never thought DP was as good as you did)

Stoner will battle with the aliens, but I think all the Yamahas will make it hard for him to win the title again.

-Suzuki "Factory" rides will not improve

    - Where's Melandri from? I don't see the Honda being highly improved, esp. with the likely switch back to liter bikes impending.

AMA racing is not mentioned in this thread, in large part due to the state of DMG-AMA "racing"

Wrong on all counts!!!! Just kidding. This is the way I think next year's gonna pan out:

    1) Rossi
    2) Pedrosa
    3)Stoner
    4)Lorenzo
    5)Spies
    6)Davi
7)Hayden (not sure about this one)

    And the rest don't matter.

Pedrosa's gonna lose bad.... you know how I know? He's got orange wheels and they look ugly.

Jaime must be related to my wife... says I'm wrong, but I can't prove I'm right for 10 months. And I won't remember or care by then. :)

What if Repsol changes to special livery and the wheels are your favorite color JD? Does Dani move up on your chart?

I can see Stoner beating Jorge, but not Dani. I think the bike is going to be developed for other folks and Dani will not be able to do better on a bike that was not made for him. But, I could be wrong.... we'll see.

Danny, Stoner, Lorenzo and Rossi. will still be the top 4 guys to fight for it.

Sorry, I don't see Dani finishing the season in the top three. Honda's changes will not happen in time for the 800's and they'll likely start focusing on making a bike that fits larger riders with the larger engine. They'll be throwing good money after bad to make the bike they built for Alberto/Dani more of a bike for Dani. If Honda was going in that direction they'd likely have found a way to keep T Elias aboard.

but what do I know, I only watch on TV and have zippy track time on MotoGP bike. First snow of the year here, so I'm arm chairing it.

I am not a Pedrosa fan but did you not see the last moto gp race?
Honda already making big improvements to the bike.

FWIW, I participate in a FREE fantasy league of sorts. You can set up "sub-leagues" and choose your riders etc. Covers all major series.

would be fun to set up a VFRW league (or a VFRW VFRD one)

Keep in mind that Rossi, and Pedrossa where the last two to win races on the 999's, and are basically the last two that have any real experience on them. Since that's the format GP is going back to in 2011, look for Honda to do whatever they can to make Pedrossa happy on the current 212v and re-sign him. Pedrossa leaving GP, regardless of how one feels about him or what team he ends up with, is ludicrous. If the wrenches stabilize the bike to Pedrossa's liking and he stays healthy, lookout. That said, Rossi wins it again and moves onto another manufactorer.

Like you Nozzle, I find it a huge waste of time to speculate on Motogp, since I can have no effect on the outcome,

Good thing not everyone feels this way, or the sponsors would just quit and start sponsoring NASCAR, where fan speculation is known to determine races.

The Big Four will continue their battles 10 to 45 seconds from the 5th place runner, which will be either Nicky, Colin,or possibly Ben, provided Ben gets what is now "testing by racing halfway through the season" completed to the point where he can be competitive.

Please excuse me now as I am modding my bike and keeping everything I do secret.

True that, he some how slipped my mind, but it has been a minute since then.

With a year or two under his belt, hopefully Spies will get America back into the game.
