Sorry, I was just informed that my stepdad's MC is doin' a ride that weekend... I gotta support him being clean and sober (2 years this past September) so I'll be with him :thumbsup:

Yeah, I figure if I show up to the rides it proves to him that I'm proud... I even got a spare leather vest so when he finally gets patched in I can wear his crew's colors on their rides (they'll allow him to patch me in as an "associate")... any way I can help him stay clean is a good one...

Hey Pranab,

We are meeting at the Denny's directly off the 5 freeway in San Juan Capistrano at 8:30am on Saturday morning. It is at the corner of I-5 and the Ortega Hwy.

Just got back from the Long Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiatch Show. Myself, Pranab, Scubalong, and Chuckman met for breakfast at a five star restaurant called "Denny's"....from there we rode up together to LB convention center. There we were looking for El Nardo (CebuVFR) but while we were looking for him, Jaime and his pops came up from behind and surprised us. It was great to see some of the old gang together again. Unforunately, I forgot my camera, so those duties were up to Chuckman, Dr Long, and El Nardo. I did take two pics with my cell phone an I will attach those. Hopefully the rest of the gang will post some up. I will say, I am a fan of the new VFR1200....it doesn't have everything I would love, but they did a pretty good job. I think it looks great in person. It feels very narrow compared to older VFRs, but you can tell that the weight is still there. It is pretty central and low though.

One downside, no KTM, Aprilia, or Harley at the show...that is a first for me.

The doc with his "O" face on....either that or gas.... :unsure:

Yep, a lot of brands missing. I really liked the new VFR, though. It didn't feel heavy and still felt like a VFR (e.g., seating position, balance, etc). $16K is a bit much for me, though. My favorite bike from the show. Forgot to see the BMW S1000RR (if it was even there). Kicked myself after I left. Good to see the all you guys there!

Absolutely agree. The new VFR is beautiful. The show was great. Ducati had setup a team of freestylers/stunters to put up a show on Monsters. Most bikes were open to the public to sit on. The new Multistrada was there. It was all surreal and beautiful.

Got to sit on an 848. Temptation .... Temptation.

There was a ton of gear also up for sale from various vendors. Thanks to chuckman who kept a check on me, else would have bought some of that gear. :tongue:

Not sure if I like the VFR or not. Definitely technologically advanced on looks and performace and features. Oh and on price too! MSRP of $15,995.00 ouch!!
