I like the Triumphs. I test rode a Tiger 1050 once and I was very impressed.

Sparky, you have an opportunity to ride and enjoy two different, fine bikes. That's better than having two VFR's in the stable.

It's the one whose headlights look like the Martian probe's camera "head" from the original "War of the Worlds".

Nice rides. Thought she was considering one of the new sprints. I looked at an 07 when I was contemplating what to replace my Nighthawk with, very sexy bike. Luckily I'm a short bastage and the 07 sprint is apparently made with basketball players in mind (very tall saddle). So I now have my gen6 and I think I'm addicted, Viffers rule, I'll race ya!

When is Triumph going to get rid of the mirrors with those Trojan Safety Devices on them?

Nice looking set of wheels though!

my wife has posted similar threads on her 'triumph' forum but most responses from her 'new friends' have been a little more crusty and critical of the vfr. i see that the responses from the vfr forum reveals a sense of humor and openmindedness. i guess when you go 'triumph' you become a little british...that's to say, dry and uptight:biggrin:. i must say that i've been to England met many English folks (here in the US as well) and they've been fantastic and have witty humor. must be the bikes then . i'll stay with the vfr and with this forum.

as they say in england, cheers!

Hey guys! Sparky is away at the track in Jennings and Wifey here figured out his VFR World forum password. (He's so easy!) Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm glad y'all like my new bike. It's a big, powerful horse and I have yet to tame it. If the truth be known, with my petite 5'4" frame, the VFR fits me better but I have always liked my horses big!
So, I look forward to seeing y'all at the summer get-together. We'll see then whose bike is faster!

I think it is great that you both are riding what you like, and hopefully riding plenty of the time together. Godspeed.
Me and my wife are working towards it but not as fancy, we are in the begginer stages
My 1990 vfr and her 1991 gs500 ( hello kitty edition  ).

Cundalini, that is a gorgeous VFR in your avatar! And the GS500 is a great bike if your wife is just beginning. She will discover many things about herself and her edge. Once she masters it, she'll be ready to explore/express herself more through other, more powerful and perhaps even more exotic bikes. All along she will be able to reveal new parts of herself to you. :stripper:
Seriously, though, it all just gets better and better.
And you and your wife are lucky to be able to share riding. IMHO the marital bond is actually strengthened when your wife rides her own ride. If she rides on back, she misses out on your experience; but by actively participating in the ride, you two have so much more to talk about that night. Gosh! I got tears in my eyes! It's just so beautiful!
---Sparky's wife (He's just finished up a great weekend at Jennings---He'll be back at y'all soon....)
