    Amen to that, brother.

I am so sick of all the vampire shit these days. Esp. the Twilight 'tortured soul' crap. Whatever happened to good ol' Nosferatu and Bela Lugosi?

Oh God I'm Sick Of New Moon The Sequal!!!!!

The birth of new moon was the end of film as a fine art.
It is now about nothing but the almighty dollar.
Target the largest group of easily influenced consumers, the ones that they know need to go to see this movie like or not to make sure they aren't unpopular at school the next day - Our children, specifically the girls.
So long highschool musical, something just as stupid just blew your doors off.
Damn glittery vampires and werewolves that need to be neutered.
The worst part was the weekend that it hit, I couldn't eve watch tv without this crap shoved down my throat.
Conan, Leno, Jimmy kimmel, the news, commercials from burger king, taco bell.... yikes.
And then my daughter reads me her book report from school - I promise it was NOT the catcher in the Rye.
    It was new moon.
This was just as easy as shooting fish in abarrel. Way to go hollywood you WHORE.

Where is southpark to make fun of this when we need them?
Oh yeah, they jumped the gun and made fun of it when it first hit when twilight came out.

The special effects on the new moon commercial looked pretty cool tho.

LOL, had to throw that last part in just to be fair - and also cause my wife or daughter might find this post someday and I would need something to divert them as I ran for the hills.

On Vampire Movies the old " Dusk to Dawn " and more recent " 30 Days of night " are good although a vote has goto to go to Underworld if only because of Kate Beckinsale.

My wife made me take her to New Moon today for her Birthday.

The honest truth watching it had me in two minds, looking for a bucket to vomit in and thinking how much I'd like to slap sense into that self obsessed selfish emo Bella.

I'm gonna go against all the machismo here and take the chance of being set on fire by admitting to like the movies and love, yes love the books. I went to the midnight showing with my wife, daughter, and mom and there were men, women, and children there of all ages, and not just tween screaming girls. I know guys who you would think would never go within a mile of these books, much less pick one up to read it, but when they did, they enjoyed them as much as I did. I know this isn't everyone's cup-o-tea, but I think if a lot of people who don't understand the hype would read the books then they may get it. Ok flame on.:flame::flame:

Obviously a man who is comfortable is his sexuality…

What sexuality that is I am unsure, but comfortable none the less.

Fortunate for me I am comfortable enough to post my opinion and am also comfortable enough to not care what anyone thinks of my sexuality.

Jev, you're not alone on either count. I read all the books as well as went to the midnight showing with a chicky. Now on a more macho note, the woman who plays Bella as some uber-hawt female IMHO is far out shadowed by the female who plays Alice. By anyone account a hot chick. Plus the CGI stuff is pretty damn good.

That's just a really good front Stuka! LOL!

In reality I think we all have some "serious" nerd pop culture phenomina we have been into at one time or another.

Case in point, I found Stuka's disco record collection under his bed ( with a signed Gloria Gaynor "I will Survive" single and a signed Village People album that only said, in big words "THANKS for the night in Reno") along with his smurf collection in his closet.

Are you still bitter that I did not sell you that VP record BZ? That is a VERY valuable record....and what happened in Reno stays in Reno.......BTW....how did you happen to be in my bedroom?? Need I remind you that my restraining order is still in affect against you until 2025?

    :mod:

    Johnny,

Your taste is impeccable, but Kate is my girl! She has already promised her hand to me after to this marriage breaks off. I'll be waiting for you Kate! Please don't forget to wear your underworld wet leather outfit....or :stripper:

Not bitter at all brother. But you know why I was in your bedroom. You know how to satisfy me better than my wife.

And you are forgetting that those are just words on paper with the restraining order...our love trancends all!

    Sing it with me Y..M..C..A!:music:
