I figure if they use Goldwings in Singapore to tow cars, you could use a VFR to tow a VFR. it's just the wrong execution of a particular idea.

Google images for: goldwing tow and you will see what I mean

Its not the bolts that are the problem. its the metal stock. i guess they do not harden metal stock so ill have to use thicker stock. I might just use angle iron and do a small modification the the seat cowl.

Its a learning process. I am getting closer to a final product. I think I am ready to modify my bike now. It will involve removing a small amount of material from the underside of the seat cowl, but it will enable me to use stronger metal.

But i definably have to give this another try.

While you are correct it is technically a lever... You are however wrong...its the other way around. I understand why you would think that way because as you know using a longer lever it takes less force to turn the pivot point.

If you dont believe me load up a trailer with a bunch of weight at the very back and see how it pulls, then move the weight forward and see how much better it pulls.

    Success.

I made it all the way. The bike did fall once, however it was because one of my straps snapped.

I used rectangle tubing to build the hitch and it did great. and still did not need to modify the bike.

    It pulled perfectly.

and i went 129 miles back with no hands.

    :)

what about a drop trailer...... you know with a sway back in the middle? it would lower the center of gravity......

Also Gogher...did you try to push start the bike WITHOUT the trailer on it? once it was running back it into place and hook it up? That would be an easier way then trying to push two motorcycles at once....just saying....
